Does that appear ok? I used the stone and drill method. There seems to be a ridge near the top though since the ring doesn't reach that area. Should it be ok to just put in new rings with the ridge still in place or should I grind it down somehow?

Okay just finished redoing the bearings and put a larger turbo on. Everything is well, starts and idles just fine, but as soon as I hit the gas pedal the engine dies. I'm not sure what the problem is. Timing?

Okay I primed the engine for about 1 minute in 15 second burst until pressure showed up on the gauge. Started it and saw a puff of white smoke, let it idle for 5 mins and then shut it off. However, I don't know if this is the proper way to prime a new turbo.
