now i posted earlier in this thread about my car making the same noise. to mee it sounds in the valve train. but my damper has came loose multiple times untill this last time i was able to impact it. so damage to it could be possibe but to me the sound comes from the valvetrain. same sound tho.

just updating my old thread. it turned out to be a loose ground wire. tighted it up and havent had a problem since.

yes that trunk looks to have never seen water, or its just been sanded and repainted? every trunk i come by has rust damage.
