Im having the problem right now, as i was resetting my CPS. Prior to the hissing noise around the ISC valve, my timing was way off. So, when i resetted the CPS per TSRM, then the hissing noise came about.
How can i go about this? And why does it do this?
Im down!
Im picking up Lawrence old black '87 NA 5spd, and Im throwing everthing from my '90 Auto Turbo this weekend into it.
Im converting the NA 5spd into a Turbo 5spd with the 3.73 rearend, front bumper, rear tail lights, walbro pump, the grey leather interior, and ALL the wiring...
What are you waiting on? Any updates on the project?
Im too going that route, I'm in the middle of saving up for an 8860 EMS and a clutch kit?
What are guys using for clutch for the r154 1jz/2jz swap? Im looking for something that will hold ~700whp/tq.
Hey Jeff,
I haven't tried it on a Mark III Supra, but I have installed dual walbros on my GT42-76 Turbo II and on my buddie's T04R FD.
Give me a call and i can walk you through it. I used -AN fittings and SS lines, but there are other way to do it if you're on a little budget.
Sonny.
The Doc do have a point... 7m-gte are running stock 440cc injectors and the MAPECU will be compensating the fuel map too much to where it might be too rich at idle and/or under load.
But, I guess you can try it and tell us how it works. See how much you can adjust the AFR closest to 14.7:1...
SuperRunner, you can run them. The 2JZ guys are running them along with 268 cams, larger T series turbo, and all on the MAP-ECUII. For your injectors, you can just transfer the fuel map onto the MAPECU. But it will require some fine tuning to run your 780cc injectors...slap it on a dyno! :)
