    Carfax

Believe a member on SupraMania was offering that service. I used it a few years ago. Believe he worked/owned or had a relationship with LA area dealership. He ran it, sent to me within hours. Very usefull, but ultimately I bought a POS. Had no rating for previous idiot owner. Or the fact that...

What's the worst car you've ever owned?

This is a real tossup, I started driving a panhead harley that my Dad took in trade for a car. I was never heavy enough to kick it into life. But was determined enough to push it up a small incline and pop the clutch. Dad's mechanics never ratted me out, (I only 'drove' it when he was away from...

Tips on removing stock y pipe???????

I had the same situation. Loosened Rear turbo to manifold bolts, removed all front turbo bolts to manifold, all y-pipe bolts. Vaguely remember I had to remove some of the studs for the front turbo to manifold and the oil return lines for both turbos. Massive mounts of beer/tequila and a...

    F*@#ing Taxes

1099-MISC is used when you are not an employee. i.e. you have to pay your part of the Medicare & SS taxes and the employers amount. Sucks, but that's life. Employees get a W-2 which shows "the amount withheld for SS, Medicare..." What it doesn't show is the amount the Employer paid for those...

I removed a few of the inboard exh. studs & the inner studs for the 'Y' pipe. then cut a 1/4" from each of the removed exh. studs and a bit more from the bottom 'Y' pipe studs. Cleaned all studs on a wire wheel and used alum. grease to allow hand tightening on all. Still had to curse abit, but...

    any toyota transponder experts?

Did some reasearch when my Altima coupe Intelligent key went on the fritz. Seems like most new vehicles need to have the keys & vehicle programed together in order to be set to recognize each other. Luckily the car is still under warrantee. No cost, otherwise, an hour of shop time at the dealer...

Ran from cop as he was turning around, got away

Got a ticket for 7mph in a 5mph. Cop was hiding behind a water truck in a community sports area giving everyone who was dropping kids for soccor practice. About 50 of the 'responsible' parents appeared in traffic court at the same time. Judge laughed, dismissed the tickets and then charged one...
