My 350 hp mk 3 supra puts under a minute in tsukuba circuit with street tires :D. Dam, the only cars in that game are really hard to manipulate the throttle with.
I know but I heard that u have to take out the engine to mill it with a metal one?
With composite u can just take off the head.
Rakkasan, what i meant was not to run the stock headgasket on 15psi but to replace it with another oem headgasket torqued with arp studs to around 90ft-lbs.
I am just wondering about the newer supras(89-92) and was wondering if toyota ever fixed the bhg or anything. I was reading the faq and year to year changes and im assuming they didnt. I see a red 92 turbo on canadatrader with 200 000kms on it and im thinking if i get that, i should swap the...
Well i wasnt asking what would be best for me. Obviously the turbo model is going to be way cheaper than modding a NA. I was just wondering how much difference cams could make with some tuning.
Thats true but I just thought it was pretty interesting. Is it possible that cams make this much difference with a tune?
I know those cars are brand new but I just found it interesting that they were easily faster than the turbo cars.
I dunno if any of u guys seen it. My parents went to japan and brought home best motoring volume 75. Anyways they tune the 350z and nsx with cams and valve timing. After they did that, they had a battle with the 350z, nsx, r34 skyline and rx8 turbo and the NA's were faster!
Btw all had BPU.
I was wondering how you guys can get rid of minor rust? There is a turbo supra for a pretty price but it has minor rust spots here and there and a dent or two. Just wondering what you guys would do?
Also ive seen people just repaint the whole car to cover the rust, is this recommended?
Friends supra mk 3, its a 87 model. As we bought the car, the speedometer was not working. Could it be the actual speedometer or something to do with the transmission speed sensor?
Another question, my friends power doors are kinda screwed up. They work and everything but when u lock the...
Nice ur on 7mpower right? Im also from alberta(medicine hat). Dont see too many mk 3 fans. Its great to know that there are enthusiasts. Great mk 3 by the way!
Here is my personal input. My friend actually has the 215 in the rear and 225 in the front. (messed up setup he bought). Anyways, it is not noticeable at all. I mean youd have to be going fast to actually notice the more pronounced oversteer if at all.
Yeah i cant remember from where but some magazine like car and driver said that the factory specs for the bolts were sufficient enough for NA. But ill be on the watchout.
Btw the na numbers were like 16.1 for 1/4mile and 8.1 for 0-60mph, while the turbo numberes are more like 14.9-15.2 for...
Can you guys answer another question while ur here?
What are the chances of getting a BHG on a NA?
My friend has a turbo model with a redone metal headgasket but I cant remember if
the NA was prone to these BHG.
thanks
Alright thanks guys for the clarification. People say the non turbo is a lot slower than it is maybe. That 0-60mph is faster than a lot of cars these days like celicas and honda ricers. But I guess it is slow for what type of car the supra is.
