When he said DS bearing, he meant the driveshaft center support bearing, not the distributor bearing :)
Oh and my contribution is the rear KS. WHy do I have to remove the damn starter to remove a plug? Though I have gotten to the point where I can fandangle the plug off without starter removal.
So what afr's are you looking for with the e-85? Also, do you have to drain your tank before switching back and forth between fuels? Just run it really low? Or can you mix them up however you like? good write up btw
Give me a call tomorrow Chris, maybe I'll swing by and we can knock that out quick (or diagnose by phone). I'll make sure to plug my cel in tonite as it's been dead the last few days.
Can you explain how this thermal dispersing coating works? I don't see how this coating can increase the thermal conductivity of the metal, as that is fixed and cannot be changed (and the metal is what stands between this coating and the air which will cool it). The only thing I can figure is...
It all depends how you drive it. You can blow a w58 with 150hp if you treat it like shit. I'm putting 300rwtq through mine ATM and it's holding up just fine. But I treat it nice.
I ran in the 200-210 regularly and hit 240+ on mine with no permanent damage. It got to the point that the ecu started pulling timing and the engine started missing. Of course that was with NPG+ coolant (don't ask me what I think of that crap).
Apples and oranges. When we're talking about how "well" either will cool, we are pretty much talking about thermal conductivity and specific heat. Water has over twice the thermal conductivity of antifreeze, and almost twice the specific heat. So in essence, use just enough coolant to prevent...
Wouldn't a fiberglass dash be kind of dangerous if you were to get in an accident? I'm assuming the finish of the dash would also look radically different than stock...
