There is also a ground wire from the coil packs to the cylinder head and of course the main ground wire from battery (-) post to the drivers side of the block just behind the a/c compressor
On this subject...I have vacuum going to my actuator but it wont switch the vacuum. The diaphragm works good because when i put a vacuum pump on it I get heat and it doesnt leak down. Guessing I need the electrical actuator?
Or, did you do like me and put the bundle of brown wires onto the starter post. If you put the brown bundle or the white/black bundle on the starter, take them off and put them on a ground on the block.
Ok....now this. The engine comes with a 90 (of course) ECU and harness. Can I install the entire thing? The 90 is an auto trans engine/ecu but its going in a manual '87.
So, real quick yes/no question. Can I put a '90 engine with intake/injectors/etc into a '87 and it plug up? If not, I assume all my '87 stuff will convert from my engine to a '90 engine, right?
Thanks....AGAIN!!! lol
Beer for everyone that answers
What do you do about all the milling he has done to the head and block? How do you make up for all the material removed? Im not sure if there is a head gasket that will take up that much clearance.
I hope ground if they are white/black LOL
I will check to be sure.
Also I forgot to mention, when I jump the B+ and Fp in Diag. block, the relay goes silent and the pump runs.
So, I've had the engine out of the '87 Turbo to do the head gasket and now I have a problem in the wiring I believe. When I put the battery post on, the relay next to the igniter box chatters. The key does not have to be on for it to do this so I fear I have put something in the wrong place...
That is what I thought was needed. The pipe appears to be a stock pipe but not sure, it does have a flange on the end. Hmmm, cant remember if I saw a precat or not.
So my HKS Sport will be flanged to hook to a stock size cat, correct? And that is what 2.5"? Im asking because I dont have it...
Ok, I've read and read about this and Im still a bit confused about what i need and how Im gonna make it all work. I just purchased a '87 Turbo and the exhaust on it is just the downpipe (nothing else). I have a HKS Turbo exhaust I got from a guy not long ago to put on it but Im not clear as to...
I just bought a '87 Turbo, Black/grey int and it has "Special Edition" on the front fenders. WTF? Does anyone know anything about that or is it just something somebody stuck on there. The car seems completely original so i wouldnt think he just stuck it on there....says he didnt anyway. He...
