try resetting the ecu, mine was acting funny for a little while, and after i reset the ecu, it worked fine

no, your car is goin to idle the same with either afm on it, seems something else is causing your idle problem

shouldnt really affect your idle at all, its really more about having supporting modifications rather than going for power the cheap way, get a good exhaust, intake, boost controller, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, safc2, air fuel ratio gauge, etc...

you can run it without 550cc's as long as you arent hard on the car, but once you start racing it, that's when stuff can go wrong, your car is goin to be running leaner since you are letting more air into the engine

a harness is going to be hard to find, try lookin in a junkyard and maybe you might get lucky, and you could also try the for sale section in the forums....but with these cars you have to take your time and do everything right and not cheaply or you will pay for it in the long run

dont forget about the headgasket, make sure it is torqued properly or get a metal headgasket on the way

is it auto or 5sp? have you checked all the wiring for everything? does the starter crank all the time? is everything grounded? are all vaccum hoses connected properly? just regular trouble shooting, time consuming but its gotta be done

i got the same thing in tucson in 2007, exhibition of acceleration was 8 pts, and just cut a deal with the prosecuter and judge on my trial date for excessive speeding, the fine was hire by about 100$ but the pts violation was much lower, so good luck man
