:P Yeah my buddy posted the S2000 one yesterday and I thought I would make one for the MKIII XD .. I know theres a better match for the first picture but I do get the "you have a mustang right?" alot >:(
Any of you guys know of a baby blue pre-89 in or around austin texas? I was on my way to a meet up with some buddys tonight and as I was turning onto the 183 access road I saw a blue pre-89 looked to be in ok shape, I was going to chase it but the next on ramp was after a major light, that was...
So as long as the Rod bolts and main studs are not visibly damaged I can use them? .... That would be a great help. I guess What I'll do then is hold off on buying any bolts until I get everything out and fount of me, then IF they are damaged I'll run to toyota and grab a set from them.
Ah one...
Yeah, true, but I was talking to a friend who has done many 1J swaps and he said a good 1J swap is about 2200~2500 in PARTS... I dont have that at this point in my life lol So for now I'm just going to try and build the 7m so it doesn't break every 2 months and start saving for a 1J.. I want the...
So I want ARP main and rod bolts then? and a "gates" hose kit? *pulls up driftmotion* :P..... WAHHH... $160 bucks for rod and main studs!?!?!?!?... Holy mother of Toyota!!!...
So then.... umm.. yeah.. *pulls up account balance* *sheds a tear* "yeah, that 3in turbo back isn't going to happen"...
If there are washers under the bolts that hold the waste gate arm to the turbine housing then it's shimmed :) (thats all shimming is... just lob some washers in there and it holds the waste gate shut longer)
Well, I dont want to make crazy power So i don't need things like 264 cams and upgraded rods and pistons, I'm only ever going to push this motor to about 300~350 wheel.. So an OEM rebuild is fine (500 wheel will come once I have a 1JZ :D ) I already have ARP head studs from my current engine...
wait for rain... find parking lot... floor gas in 2nd.. repeat until you can hold, control, and change the line of the drift on the fly.. the MKIII IMHO is a badass drifter, because of the long wheel base once it's sideways it's SUPER easy to control.. what I might say to you is some coils and...
Hey guys, I'm starting a rebuild, I've been having bad compression issues and leaks left and right, also lifters are "rattling" at certain RPMs and I think the valve train is where I'm losing my compression.. So I just bought a port and polished 7m-GTE cylinder head with good lifters, valve...
By the way, What is stock gap for a turbo pre-89? I've hit google many times but never found anything that sounded rock solid.... been running on whatever they come gaped at. car seems to run fine though.
I have to disagree, Your talking about a team or guys who turned a GT car into a 4x4 here, engines they did well (eh, lets not bring up the head gasket :P) but the suspension is a different story IMHO, What I cant wait to do is get ARP Wheel studs, some spacers and some coilovers on this thing...

Mines easy, I wanted the user name "DownShift" but it's always taken, So it just worked out too perfect using "TRD" at the front :P
Wen I used to play SRS (old PS2 street racing game) I used to go as "Bunta" because I could do that crazy no handed drift from the anime :P (I play racers with a...
^^^^ This is why I never stay for more then 3 minutes lol Because the supra is a very heavy car and asking it not to make noise wen sideways is like asking a fat kid not to eat cake lol...
My car HAAAATTTTTEEEEEESSSSS Rain here in austin... I think It's because all the oil gets built up on the ground, and because it really only rains about once every 16 years here it never gets washed away.. lol but anyway, because of that I have been "practicing" and the system I use is that I...
Ah, so everyones does this :P Anyway, just keep at it, You'll get the "feel" for it, as of now I can Shift into reverse without using the other gear trick and theres no grind, it just takes time to get used to... Though I always wandered if using High end gear oil would help at all.
So, wait... If I just buy a small spring i'll make more power and spool quicker? So then, whos going to tell me where to buy this spring and what size it needs to be? Oh, and how to install it... KthanxBye! :D
See I Wouldn't mind a set of these, BUT I want big brakes... and the set I'm looking at are huge (18'in minimum, Yes I want my car to break my neck wen the pedal hits the foor.) so I cant bring myself to spend 900 or more on wheels i'm only going to use for a short time T.T...
