My 1977 7M-GTE CELICA! Finished! Test drive vid on page 18!

Thanks! It is just a 3" from the turbo back to a 3" Magnaflow turbo muffler. Last weekend I went out with a few friends to the "Gumball Block Party 2" in Detroit, in front of the abandoned train depot. Had a great time, cars drifting around and people doing random burnouts and donughts. I...

I have been having fun with the car and have not had time to update. I have had a few minor issues, mostly with 35 year old electrical connections! This only put the car down for a few days while I worked out a solution. I did not have my headlight/marker light relay mounted properly, and it...

I don't know what he had done to it exactly... He ran like 11.something. I caught up but never passed him, I was holding right with him at the end and couldnt gain much more. Impressive!

Of course I don't mind! haha Well, All of my drivetrain components, especially wheels and rear axle are extremely heavy. The purpose of the flywheel is to store energy and for the inertia(which is stored energy in itself) Say I am at the drag strip on the line, Holding antilag getting ready to...

Here is the clutch pic. Got it all installed last night. Wow stiff pedal! Works awesome so far, very happy with it. Just need to work on my leg muscles a bit! I am really not too worried about the thrust bearing, I never push in the clutch on startup, and never hold it down at lights.

I had a hell of a time finding a OEM flywheel.... Dealers said "Not available in North America" No good. I found a ton of lightweight flywheels for cheap, but I didn't want anything to do with those. Eventually Aaron @ Driftmotion hooked me up with a used and already machined one...

Time for update, I have been doing a lot of traveling lately... I drove the car for a while and enjoyed it til I finally found some motivation to pull the trans out to swap the clutch out. It's not exactly easy to get the trans out of the tiny little tunnel that it is in.. I ran into a few...

^ Right. The chevy Colorado/Solstice/v6Camaro all have the AR-5 that uses triple cone synchros. Practically internally identical other than that

Trying Lexus AFM with 440's on stock CT26 for benefit of community

I also have a celica with a 7m swap, I ran a 57 trim CT with 440's for a while at 15ish psi. It ran amazing, I just bumped up the fuel pressure a little bit. It ran better with the 440's than it did with 560's... AFR's were 11.2-11.4:1 Never had any issues, until I switched to bigger injectors...

Last night I welded up a new downpipe and recirculated the wastegate into it as well... I have been debating weather or not to recirculate it, but since it is such a small hotside I figured it would be super loud from a real low RPM, and that kind of gets rid of the sleeper effect. For now I...

Just a few things left to do before it's ready for the road again... Oil filter relocation and thermostatic cooler is pretty much done, currently making a new downpipe. New intercooler pipes are now all welded up, just have to button everything up!

Here is the adaptor I made to mount the T3 flanged Holset on a T4 manifold for my 7m, and still be able to get the intake pipe past the turbo.

Not the turbo exhaust, but the manifold really... I think it will heat soak pretty bad sitting right there. I was worried about using a turbo blanket, since it's only oil cooled, I don't want to trap too much heat in there, since my downpipe will be wwrapped as well.
