Yeah it will conatin more material...I said that in the last sentence of my post. I was making the point that the absolute max it could gain you is very little...figure in the details and its even smaller.
Good thought, but I don't think the capacity you would gain would be significant enough to cause any differences. For simplity, assume that the filters are perfectly cylindrical. Also lets assume that the interior of them is hollow. If that were true you would gain .0897 quarts of oil by using...
I dont get why people even post on here if they are not looking for feedback. A piece of an exhaust system was used as an IC pipe and, from what I read, it was given the credit it deserved. Everyone agrees its better than stock, but its not something anyone should have specially made. A few of...
The comment I initially made was not in response to onefstsupra...I think he made the best of what he had and agree it is probably better than stock. I was responding to Supradread's comment that there is no restriction in mandrel bent pipes. In regards to people making power with 90 degree...
I didn't read through all the posts but I'll throw my opinion in anyways. Math definitely must be your strong point - your looking at calc 1-4, linear algebra, diff eq, stats, and possibly more. I took Ap Calc in HS and it really only prepares you for calc 1. As far as choosing a...
Not to take away from your thread at all because it is great to see different ideas, but the bobsled example is not the same at all. I'm not saying that 90 degrees doesn't work, just that a lesser angle would be better.
You said that as long as the pipe is mandrel bent that there will be no restiction to air flow. The angle at which the pipe is bent plays a much larger factor than the smoothness of the pipe. What I am saying is that a pipe design similar to what he has that is made by welding several cut pipes...
I've looked into this a bit myself and think something along the lines of what weezl has done is probably the best. If you are considering making one of these be very careful with the design and how/where the welds are. I don't think anyone here wants to get a 1" bar through the head if they...
Check you cold start injector and isc. As far as a short in the wire...I would run a continuity test from the end where it plugs into the temp sensor to the point where it plugs into the ecu. That at least will confirm that you actually have a short. Also, does your temp gauge work in the car?
I just picked these up and can't find any info on them. I have looked everywhere that I can think of with no luck. All I know is that they came off of a jz chassis. If anyone has any info or specs on them I would appreciate it. Also the only stamped markings are IG06 F with NE13 under it or IG06...
