You could just wait for a set of unorthodox pulleys to come up on ebay. Match with an ATI crank pulley and you get the light weight, the bling, and a proper balancer...of course, you may have to wait a while for the accessory pullies to come up in the color you want.
Reminds me of a passing thought a couple of the local MKIII owners tossed around: purchase a cheap NA MKIV just to throw one of my spare 7M's into and see the reaction at a MKIV focussed meet...now I can add to that: Get the vanity plate license plate JLYBEAN before showing up to said MKIV meet...
I have one. You can have a shorter antenna, but you still need one of some description. It does not work to make the diversity antenna even remotely useful as a replacement to get rid of a mast. I tried a few things, and it was a no go. A signal amp still has to have an antenna receiving a...
This'll sound a little harsh to the overly nostalgic, but I look at it like this: For every one that dies, mine becomes a little more rare, and has a little more chance of some day becoming collectible and hence worth more than the price of the cube of steel it could otherwise be crushed into...
never liked the kaminari bumpers, but I'd rock the skirts even on an otherwise bone stock car. Different, but so subtle only an owner would be able to tell the difference, or if they did spot it they would think it a factory option.
The hatch carpet is plastic backed with the pile coming out of the backer (unlike a weave). The plastic resembles a wax however. Easy to cut, hard to sew and keep the needle holes from opening up. If you're cutting for a speaker, just mount a trim ring and grille over it and you'll never see the...
avoid the flex for the opposite reason...under sprung in the front (I like the rear setup however) and poorly valved. I does not bounce, but allows far too much movement (I've scraped the wheel well liners at the recommended ride height crossing ruts in the highway). Besides that, the customer...
I can't see the problem...1 extra large Tim Hortons fits perfectly in the flip tray. No drama, no spillage, no scalded legs...even has the little carpet sample at the bottom to sop up the mess if the cup leaks a bit...
Once you get used to them, you never want to go without again!
Possible...like I said, I've never seen that pic or HKS kit before. Too bad there aren't others to get a better view. Some of the piping looks like it could be, but the shading makes it tough to tell.
Factory endlinks work from the 86.5-88 cars. 89+ used a plastic link on the rear to keep from breaking the tabs. Unfortunately, the stiffer bars will simply snap them instead, and when you upgrade to something that can take it, you need to reinforce the mounting tabs...
ya the hks ad looks like a tubular manifold from the #6 runner you can see rather than the cast manifold. I've never even seen pics of that kit before...
as I remember, HKS did a kit just for their drag car, but they had a commercial kit available too. Rare, like any TT kit, but they did sell a number of them judging by how many have cropped up over the years, and the number of people I know that have them right now.
In my research and memory on the various kits over the years, HKS and blitz used cast manifolds, but I remember the blitz one looking different from the HKS. A friend of mine who can chime in if he wants has that same manifold you do (only it is in the condition of the last pic) and it is an...
I had the same thing. If the moulding sticks our from some ice or a little rust over time, it has enough resistance to bend the fender in 1/8 or so, at which time the door makes contact and finishes the job. It can be bent out easily if you haven't damaged the paint. Requires the fender liner...
replacement would be ideal, but one of mine snapped off 5 years back and I cant say I've had a problem (I've been a little too lazy to replace before this year's rebuild)...your results may be different though depending on dust and such in your area
