Well, if the dash is all disassembled, then there may be something that could be back feeding voltage back to the pump, and it kicks the pump on for a split second. As for the hesitation, are you using an auto or manual trans harness? Because there are a few pin location differences between...
When I was using the factory ECM, I noticed I could boost a lot higher in 1st and 2nd, than I could in 3rd. Also I turn it up as I go up the mountains, but that's because I have a MAF and since it's based on air density and flow, it allowed me to run a little more boost. Are you running an...
This mod is only for the 1JZ VVTi (factory single turbo), not the normal 1JZ with twin turbos, so it may not have the ABV VSV. The factory VSV actually puts boost on the other side of the diaphragm to open the BOV below a certain RPM. My guess is for emission reasons, and then when it hits a...
Tired of the turbo kicking in at 3000rpm? Tired of having no low end torque?
If you perform this modification to you OE BOV, you essentially turn it into a standard BOV and it works of the push pull principle. It is very simple to perform this mod, remove the BOV and get a 1/8" NPT fitting...
Typically it's .28 - .26, but if you didn't check the gap before you installed them, that's where I'd start just in case a couple of them are at .35 or something ridiculous.
Lol, sorry, I fat fingered a key, its the BOV mod.
Basically what you do is get a drill and a 1/8" brass NPT fitting from home depot or any other plumbing store, and drill out the open atmosphere port on the BOV. Once it's been drilled then screw in the port and plumb it back to the intake...
Do you get the code without the boost controller? If you do, then there could be something wrong with the map sensor. Also, what are your plugs gapped at?
34 is turbo pressure I believe, and the 42 is the speed sensor. Don't worry about the 42, it doesn't effect the performance. I'd worry about the 34, how much boost are you running?
Rafa... Please read what I'm writing, you are getting confused on one thing, and that is the order of the pin numbering. :nono: For the sake of the community, I'm posting the PM string so no one else will be confused.
So, First off I have the BOTH ECMs (89661-22790 M/T and 89661-22800...
They should all be on the harness, you will have to use a meter to find the correct wires that they go to. There will be two connectors coming out of the plastic housing for the wire harness that routes through the intake manifold. If my memory serves me, the brown connector is for the FPU...
