Just an update on my mental status hahahah, i have a serious buyer coming out friday night. If this dude hands me the cash, im done with the car. If it doesn't sell, i am going to keep it and do what i have planned for now (Not sure about doing swap stuff yet though). Thanks again for the help guys.
That's a good point. I think the other part of the issue is i am brand new to this. So really, i would feel TERIBLE about putting together a 7M or a 1JZ and forgetting something small, and it blowing up.
Supra guys,
I think i have finally reached my "breaking point".
Allow me to explain.
I have owned my supra for about a year and half now, and like the description, its N/A. Its a great car, fun to drive, and im completely in love with it, but i am sick of having 190 HP in a 4000 pound...
The other supra i drove, (emilio's) was that GTE auto blue one.
But he even said that my petal was pretty stiff when he drove it. Something like "Its like pushing down a tennis ball"
Hey guys. Quick question.
Noticed that my gas petal is pretty hard to push down. I drove a different MKIII and noticed it pushed in like a hot knife through butter.
Is there any way i can adjust the feel of it, or anything i should check for to make sure something isnt wrong.
Thanks...
It was awesome seeing this thing up at BIR again this year. Makes for great insperation for some of us here. *COUGH COUGH*
Anyway, keep up the good work man!
I am just going to stay at stock levels of HP for the time being. Nothing crazy for at least like the first year or so, so i will stick with my W58. And yes, the glory of buying a 7M-GTE would be it would already be out of the car, so i could have the head professionally cleaned and gasket-ed...
Hello, i could not find a thread about some general questions about doing the swap, so here i am.
My current state is 7M-GE everything is OEM. '88 5 speed. I talked to a few people and it sounds like going NA-T is a really bad idea considering how much GTE engines have come down in price...
I agree. I hope we see the transition from "Crazy sports car because the supra name was in the fast and furious" to beautiful, fun to drive classic cruising car. In which some that can do 10 sec 1/4 miles lol.
I think the problem is that Supra's are right in between "Sweet fast sports cars" and "Cool looking classic cars". So if you're a guy, with a slow one, in good condition. (Me) You want to Mod it and make it faster. And it seems like the guys who did Mod theirs, cant stop looking back at Stock...
I use my car as a cruising car, and a daily driver during the summer. I put a ton of miles on it last season though, so im looking for something thats going to keep it running strong.
