Thanks guys and gals
I discovered this morning in the light of day that they have managed to chip the window as well with their amateur efforts at getting the door open :nono:
Aaarrrghhhhhh :evil2:
Thanks guys, yes, it was lucky that 'only' the lock, handle and window seal trim got damaged I suppose.
I was most angry that I missed them and didnt catch them in the act :naughty:

Agreed, a gun would have been nice!!!
But I would have still bared arms at them,.....my bare arm...
The one night I leave my car on the driveway of my garage because the 2j motor is taking up the Supras spot at present (Garage is about 30metres up the road from my house)...some thieving little scum tried to steal the car last night
I went to get in it as normal and the key...
Has anyone tried fitting OZ Super Turismos from a Mitsubishi Evo 8?
Ive been offered some
17" OZ super tourismo's 114.3 5 stud
but all I know is that the offset is either 28 or 38 :1zhelp:
The guy was looking on his car in a dark garage so he couldnt be sure which!!

This thread got massive! and I may have missed it, but does anyone have any info on what wheel/tyre combos work well for drag racing?
Slicks or DR's and ideally a 15" rim :1zhelp:
Whats the biggest slick that will fit please?
Thanks Martin
The cars a manual so the clutch master cylinder grommit is a no go unfortunately :(
I will remove the trim in the morning (cheers for the heads up on that) and see what alternative routes I can find for the vac lines?
ok. I have gone this route now as I did try and fit my mechanical gauge in the stock cluster but it was too deep, so I've put a good oil pressure gauge there instead.
I'm about to fit a Pillar Double pod and I am wondering the best way to route the vacuum cable for my mechanical boost gauge...
Decision made.
Im going to buy the 2Jzgte lump and see where I end up :evil2:
I will start a thread upon commencing the 2jz rebuild and motor swap (when I have acquired all the bits...)
thanks for the input guys :)
Thanks Don
nice links and very informative. I have posted a copy of the summary of the difference between the two motors below (from clubna-t.com)
After reading this article I am fully decided if I go 2JZ it will 1000% be the 2JZGTE without question :naughty:
Too many things lacking and...

Nice suggestion there and one I had not thought of TBO. However building an NA motor for boost sounds like more effort than just coughing up the extra ££ for a 2jzgte longblock :naughty:
Money isnt the 'main' factor in this although it is a factor of course.
crazysupra2JZ...
I would avoid that like the plague!
it looks nice but there are no strut supports inside the plenum (like there are in virtual works or PPF ones) and under high boost it WILL crack.
not if but when.
Also, it is a major pain repairing cracks in IMs such as that because of all the...
Thanks for the input guys, some good points made
supracr89, 500rwhp is my primary goal, but thats not to say I wont want more in the future once the car is running.....power, as we all know is addictive :biglaugh:
The main issue comes with the 7m head gasket and oiling weaknesses for...
