Time for clutch change. Parts list?

Thanks to everyone for all of their input. Unfortunately between hurricane Irma last month and some personal issues work has been very slow for me. Being commission based that means very little cash flow right now so the Supra upgrades are going to have to wait awhile. I will be sure to...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

The switch on the master power window switch for the passenger window stopped going up a few days ago. I was already annoyed at having to reach over to roll it up so I decided to take the switch apart and fix it today. Thank you to the author of this write-up on how to fix it...

Time for clutch change. Parts list?

Though you didn't mention what you didn't like about Spec; it did prompt me to read some more. It seemed there was a mix of good opinions vs. bad on Spec. This is a big expense for me so I'd like a bit more certainty in my choice. It seemed like there were quite a few people who supported ACT...

Time for clutch change. Parts list?

As the title states I'm getting ready to change the clutch out on my 87 Supra N/A with a W58. I'm getting clunks and shuddering from the original so I figured it's time. I want to make sure I have all the parts ready since, for this project, I will not be doing the work myself. I assume the...

    Quick question about shift knob.

The leather on my shift knob in my 87 7mge 5spd is starting to turn into crumbly bits :( It looks like you can still order shift knobs for 89 and newer Supra's, but the only thing I am finding is this part number https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/3350424070c0 and it is black. I would prefer...

    Part Numbers for Wire Clips?

I'm having trouble finding part numbers for these wire clips. If anyone can help that would be great. This brown wire clip attaches to the wire harness with electrical tape and snaps into the side of the alternator This gray clip attaches the main engine wiring harness with electrical tape...

Best way to fix b-pillar trim?

Thank you for the tip. I ended up buying something before you posted because I didn't like driving around with a piece of tape holding the trim on. I used JB Weld Plastic Weld 2 part epoxy. I hadn't used this particular epoxy before, but it seemed like it was perfect for this kind of job. It...

Best way to fix b-pillar trim?

Yes I've had the trim off before a couple of times and did in fact break one of the tabs for the interior trim. Is there a specific 2 part epoxy you would recommend? I've used 2 part expoxys in the past and they didn't seem to work. Maybe I'm not buying the right stuff. Sent from my...

Best way to fix b-pillar trim?

I have no idea how, but the vent/trim piece on the passenger side b-pillar of my 87 has broken the attachment point that holds it onto the car (the one at the bottom). Since I can't buy a new one and I really don't want to go through the hassle of trying to find a used one and matching the paint...

Exhaust Leak. Am I missing something?

Got a chance to install the new EGR cooler gasket today. I'm so glad it sounds normal again. The exhaust leak was really embarrassing. Here is what the old one looked like. To quote Mythbusters "Well there's your problem right there". I really hope the OEM gasket doesn't give me any trouble...

Anyone know what engine seal this is?

I think I remember seeing that in my gasket kit too, but I didn't end up using it for anything. I can tell you that it is not for an N/A distributor because that is just a simple o-ring.

87 Supra Preservation/Modernization Build (Lots of pics!!!)

I have to say I'm very jealous. As much as I love the weather in Florida; the scenery leaves a lot to be desired. To comment on your Supra plans...You may know this already, but having rebuilt my head on my N/A Supra in February, just a couple of quick reminders if you decide to rebuild yours...

Exhaust Leak. Am I missing something?

Finally had a chance to work on the problem. I replaced the downpipe gaskets and the O2 sensor gasket. Unfortunately it still sounded like s#*t, but I couldn't figure out where the exhaust leak was coming from. So I swallowed my pride and brought the car into our service shop at work (I work at...

Exhaust Leak. Am I missing something?

As a few of you might know from my other thread (see Matt's cylinder head rebuild in the 7MGE forum) I rebuilt the head on my 7MGE back in February. Once I got the valve shims done everything was running and sounding great (actually it was too quiet, but a new, sportier exhaust will have to...

Matt's cylinder head rebuild - Finished

Update: The engine is back together again. The good news is that the idle is perfect now and the car is running great. I can finally turn my attention to other items that need addressing (I know, I know there will always be something that needs to be done). Now the bad news. I replaced the...
