Thermostat with a lower tempature setting is going to open earlier. That means the normal operating tempature will be lower if the rest of your cooling system is working well. It will not control maximun running tempature what so ever. The cooling system relies on good air flow throght radiator...
It is best you mount it to the firewall, in order to keep vacuum hose as short as possible. That will make it respond to pressure-vacuum changes faster.
The JDM mirrors have a control module, which is different than USA models, so wiring diagram listed don't help. Anyone out there do this conversion? thanks. Jim
