The dm one is clocked and the bracing runs under the flange on the valve cover side. No clearance for a nut on 1 of the turbo to flange bolts due to the clock so it's only threaded into the flange. But it's on there pretty tight regardless. Overall it seems decent compared to other cheap manifolds
I have their kit with the manifold. Definitely wasn't fun getting on but didn't expect it to be either. I installed the turbo after the manifold was already on. I put the wastegate on the manifold before I installed it, and dumptube after. Ill be changing out their wastegate soon with a tial...
Looking for reliable wiring and tuning shop in bay area. Something reasonably priced capable of extending engine wiring harness, installing gauges, and dyno tuning using aem 2. If they can weld up exhaust also, would be a plus, but not priority.
The na 7mge power steering reservoir is bracketed next to the passenger side shock tower, not the block like the gte. It can be removed. Just wondering if anyone else relocated/crammed it on the driver side to work with the 1jz power steering pump?
I have already installed the driftmotion line from the pump to steering rack. I'm going to get the pump feed pipe. Is a 2jzgte or jza70 reservoir really necessary or can I make my na 7m reservoir work? Any other tips on retaining my power steering on the 1j would be appreciated
I didn't have any at all, lost while the head was machined. I ended up buying 2 240sx ka plugs from Nissan for a few dollars. I cut 1/8 of an inch off the top because they were a little tall, then added fipg to help seal. Once I finish the car pretty soon I'll let yal know how it holds, no...
Went to Toyota. According to their diagram the 2jz does not have the semi circle plug. This link shows the differences of the 2 heads. http://www.1jz.com/tech/docs/engine_manual/
I searched and couldn't find anything that helped. At the rear of the 1jz cylinder head there is a half moon like piece that sits on the head between the valve covers. What is that called and where can I find one? I've looked at 2jz parts diagrams and I believe it's cylinder head is flat in the...
Actually the first thing I tried was cutting down the stock studs and using the stock nuts. The stock nuts simply don't clear the runners because they're too wide no matter how far I pull the manifold back. Originally when they sent me the manifold it didn't fit over the studs onto the head...
Wsup everyone. I'm new to the forums. I have a 1jz driftmotion 57 trim single kit from driftmotion. I have 2 lower exhaust nuts almost impossible to get on. The exhaust runners are welded too close to the top of the flange holes for the studs. I've tried cut Toyota studs, the shorter studs and...
