unfortunately not yet :(
I want to order one of those helicoils kit, but sadly I'm forced to move my supra in the next week.
will have to figure something out after it has been transported.
now i have a question about engine install.
Im having trouble lining up the 2 motor mount brackets with the mounts on the mkiii
is there a trick to placing the engine on both mount studs?
one side at a time or should i remove one of the brackets? its proving to be very difficult
which tool are you referring to, is it available by order?
also where can I find one of those pilot bearings?
Right now my w58 +clutch/flywheel is bolted to the gte without a pilot bearing. temporary.
I dont know if its aftermarket, its whatever was in my supra, which was supposedly turbo but...
I am mounting my W58 on to a 7mgte
My GTE block has no pilot bearing in it.
What is the best way to get the bearing out of my 7MGE?
Also I need one of those clutch aligning tools.. Any advice on centering the plate?
OK back from vacation; Back to work. *beats head against wall*
It threads nicely on and off, it just doesn't tighten it'll keep spinnin clockwise
I looked closely again today and I still see no signs of cracking.. Oh gosh I don't even know what to do next
sorry I wasn't more clear.
the...
well my banjo bolt threads in perfectly fine until it bottoms out,
in my other thread someone suggested an AN fitting and I thought that meant the fitment would be useable.
I do need to at least run a tap through it though
sorry, this just boggles my mind trying to cram all this new stuff in my head!
im going on vacation next week so I'll take some time to unwind and come up with a kick-ass plan of attack
but is there some kind of walkthrough for this upgrade?! it seems fairly simple but I'd love to be 100% sure...
ohhh, cool cool!
to do this upgrade properly do i have to upgrade all the pipes, or can I get away with just replacing the single pipe/fitting?
Also do you know the thread size for that banjo bolt is it a 12mmx1.25?
I have stripped threads in the block of my 89+ GTE where the Banjo bolt/Union pipe for the turbo are supposed to attach. I'm on a bit of a time schedule because I am moving, so I am hoping to figure something out soon.
I've heard you can change the fitting on this oil pipe, to something...
Wow, to think last night i was completely hopeless, and now I come home from work to a bunch of options.
goes to show how this website ROCKS MY WORLD
*mad love*
What is/how do I install this AN fitting?
stock banjo bolt is 1 inch and 3/16 (my metric tapes r at work -.-) , so roughly...
i revoke my previous statement, the threads in there do appear to run deeper than the threads on the banjo bolt
its possible a longer bolt would work, but will I be able to line up the banjo hole... where would I find such a bolt..
no cracks, took a good look
tight space due to oil filter...
