True. I mean he said bought on Craigslist, came with title. But over time lost it cause no need for car. But I'm still on the same thought as you. Even though it'd be cheap parts for my build I still have that thought it was someones daily car stolen and I just used everything they had
I may buy a 92 ls400 and use it. Would the trans in it work for the swap as well? The dude lost the title and is selling it 1000obo. Which in my eyes isn't bad for the car. It looks taken care of and has no mechanical issues. Miles aren't high either
Never heard of initial D... :o I wanna YouTube it now lol. But yea. After looking at weight and sizing, 2uz is kinda being ruled out... I'm really liking the sounds of 1uz though... And I guess there's always that one side of me that wants to show my grandfather wrong lol. I grew up helping him...
I liked his info. Gave me a very big insight on what I wanted to do. Gave me more info of which I didn't know. And helped prove the fact that accessibility to the motor is as easy as I thought(local junkyards) thanks for that!
Background isn't a way to throw superiority... Guarantee youve been...
Plenty useful when the build is over, I don't plan to swap and call quits... Turbo, full build, upgrade as much as possible(where funds can go) and have that "Racecar" lol
Say what you've got to say. No reason to hold back... It's just the Internet. I post about info on a 2uz, got what I need, got a lil extra, and some change in thought. I don't want to go ls because I want to stay Toyota, and it is a VERY COMMON swap. Can't tell you how many 240's, civics...
I Grew up Chevy, so know the point your giving. But when I got my first supra(don't know how I ended up getting it lol) I fell in love. Knowing its Toyota and JDM, I don't wanna cross breed this one. I wanna keep it to its make you know?
It just seems like a all round effective and cheaper swap considering tundras are decently common to come by in junkyards and such compared to a 2jzgte lol. In the end I'll have 2 more cylinders is the way I see it. No matter what swap is done I will keep to Toyota product. That's for sure. Like...
I wanna try something different. But keep to the Toyota heart. I thought about 1uz swap but not heard of many 2uz. Felt it'd be pretty cool, hell I have a friend that makes turbo manis. May have to get him to make a twin set up for it as well. By doing that factory ecu is completely put of...
I was thinking of doing a 2uz swap in the mkiii and wondered if it would truly fit trans wise. Like what trans can I use and how I'd even match a ecu to my body for that damn matter. Just give me some more info on it if possible cause I'd love to do it if plausible. Thanks!
