FYI, the RSR is 3.2" not 3". I know it doesn't make much difference, but it is the absolute straightest you can buy off the shelf with the sexiest sound a MKIII can produce. Of course that is just my opinion.

I have the RPS Max and I love it, they say its the master of all crank walk and it happened with me, but I am rebuilding a nuclear bomb proof engine that shouldn't be a problem. A lot of people like the Spec Stage3, and what you know, I have one for sale, lol, shameless plug I know.

It depends on your goals completely. the Rarity factor goes to the MKIII, its much easier to mod, but more expensive once you go past BPU level. see which car you enjoy driving more, which style, interior, exterior,...etc you like more. after all its you who will be driving it and no matter what...

hmm, that's very weird. and if once you re-seat the resistor it works fine this means something is messed up with the circuit, maybe not getting enough power or something is wrong with the wiring (could be a bad ground)? I am a newb in case you didn't guess already but I am interested in knowing...
