Jza70 Chassis - How much is too much?

I would say just reinforce the rear subframe. setup the rear diff possibly using something aftermarket. like getting a spool made or using an LSD the KAAZ unit i have seems pretty bullet proof. Set it up right, like its been said above use a spacer to preload the pinion not the factory crush...

    What Clutch?

I'm using a sprung HPF bronze with stock PP and an ACT Billet steel flywheel. The combo is supposed to hold 550 FT.lbs of torque. However i do have a V160, but i assume the same combo on the R154 would be similar.

    Suspension suggestions/ABS removal?

I've got an 87 hardtop with no abs, which is currently undergoing a very similar transformation. 2jZ-GTE/w V160, KAAZ 2-way LSD, SCCA cage, Massive weight reduction, Kirky racing seat, custom steering column with 1.5:1 quickener, the engines in a bit lower and farther back then you'll get it...

    Stripped down supra weight?

a Stripped 240sx no engine/trans. half interior two of us couldn't move. but three of us could lift it several feet. . but we're pretty big guys. I find it quite hard to believe the bare rolling chassis is 2300lbs.. I'll have to weigh mine. My goal is 2800lbs with cage. I'd like 2700lbs...

whats the deal with mkiv 550's

High Impedence = High resistance/reactance. No resistor pack, controlled directly by the ECU 440cc 2J injectors Low Impedence = Low resistance. Requires resistor pack or injector driver to prevent High amperage from flowing through the ECU. 2J 550cc's

Failure of the rubber encased OEM driveshaft?

I can probably imagine what that looks like. Also pay close attention, if it went out really fast it may be oil soaked.. Check your Rear main seal. If its oil soaked you may be able to salvage the Flywheel :)

I bought an OBX V160 6spd shifter. The B&M knock off, just to get me running. OMG ! the modifications I had to do were rediculas. I had to Cut the hole in the shifter tripod deal bigger because it hit going into reverse. it Came with like 4 roll pins and 3 C-clips, all of which were the wrong...

10.5 inch wide wheels on MA70?

I'm Running 17X10 +12 with 295/35/17. However this setup will not clear a stock wheel well. My $0.02 is if you going with a wheel as inexpensive as a mustang (Cobra) repro wheel. then get something that fits well now like a 9.5, run 275's. Then by the time you spend all the money and labor...
