Help with dash lights? Brake, Rear lights and battery light

Maybe I should not post 5 minutes before my colonoscopy. That procedure is like a ct26 with a blown oil seal. The charge light, brake light, and rear light out lights all are connected together in the combination meter by diodes. The exact wiring I don't know. I.am reading the EWD. If current...

Help with dash lights? Brake, Rear lights and battery light

Read the stated problem. No dimming a d all three lights come on at same time. In the dash wiring diagram all three of these lights are terminated to same point. Whe. The diode in an alt is bad 12v flows both ways. The voltage goes to the three wires for these lights and the light up. I had...

Help with dash lights? Brake, Rear lights and battery light

I think it's the diode going bad and allows current backwards through the ground which turns on the lights. All three of those dash lights are grounded to the same spot in the diagram.

    AEM v2 No Start Sync.

that's always fun to find out late after installation. I have had bad starters and alternators out of box. now I always test the new starter or alternator right out of the box before I leave the store. installing a faulty new starter in a 1uz is not something I want to do. hal

    AEM v2 No Start Sync.

the 100 amp fuse looks ok even if blown. but it appears yours is good. check grounds especially wires going to intake manifold ground. check that voltage to aem when starting is 12 v. if at 10 v stuff does not get turned on by aem. sometimes when cranking voltage will drop to aem to 10v...

Removing multiplex from 7MGTE for less than $200

Suprra_girl that appears to be a waste spark smart coil on that link not an ignitor. any waste spark coil may work. but that coil appears to have 3 wires which makes it a smart coil that does not use an igintor but the third wire is a trigger with a 5 volt trigger. that will work with some...

What can I do in terms of using 7mgte electronics on a 2JZ GE?

I do wonder with the volumetric effeciency differences in the motors. The 2jz GE head is best. it will flow more air. That may make a difference in the tune in the 2 ecus 7m GT vs 2jzGT or GE off boost. that may be able to be tuned around with a piggy back and a AFPR. i will be doing...

    Wiring harness questions

the only difference between a pre 89 engine and a 89+ engine for sensors is on the Tstat neck. i think the ecu temp sensor is different. either that or the temp gauge sensor. so if you have a 87-88 harness put the tstat housing for a 87-88 engine. if 89+ harness use the tstat sensors from a...

What can I do in terms of using 7mgte electronics on a 2JZ GE?

2jzge is 3 litre just like 7m. 1jz is 2.5 ltre so why spend the money. stock 2jzge block good for 500+hp. for turbo add a oem 2jz TT head gasket and a ebay manifold or other choice and your good. the ge head has a different exhaust manifold flange pattern than the turbo head. also the ge head...

    dual pump setup

i have a dual hanger with walbros. 2nd pump comes on via aem at 5 psi. i have run over 550 rwhp on them. i ran -8 to stock fuel rail and -6 to afpr and to tank. i have the arizona dual hanger. ( i think thats right.) i think i can get more hp out of them. hal

Removing multiplex from 7MGTE for less than $200

ign sync number is at top of ign phase panel. where you input the phasing numbers. this number will change as you set the timing with aem. it will be specific for the position the cps was installed and locked down in. my ign sync would be different most likely than yours as my cps may be in...

Removing multiplex from 7MGTE for less than $200

On 7m coilpack coil 1 is left pack. Coil 2 is RIGhT pack and coil 3 is center pack. If u can get the car running check ur timing to besure the IGN Sync number is correct for ur cps position.

Removing multiplex from 7MGTE for less than $200

To be sure check off multiplex. Turn on coils 1-2-3. Set ign phase coils 1-2-3 to 0.5/4.5/8.5. I think that is right. And 12 spark tooth is correct Also the ign SYmc number tells the AEM where the position of the cps is in it's slot and thus what tooth is TDc on cyl 1. The ign Sync number...

AEM ecu runs 3 to 4 minutes and dies cuts off

The air temp sensor and the stock oli pressure sensor and the oem temp gauge (not the ecu coolant temp) are resistor 2 wire sensors. I bought a 5 volt temp sensor foil my oil as there are no extra reaisitor inputs only 5 volts. In this problem I wired the 5 volts to the sensors ground wire and...

AEM ecu runs 3 to 4 minutes and dies cuts off

as mentioned the power batt, B+, B1+, main relay pin, and fc pin for the cor all have 12 volts even when the ecu dies. i shorted the main relay and same thing. the power is still on the pins it needs to be. i called a tuner out in CA and he had a similar problem when his map sensor was...
