Start tracking where you get power. I assume that you have power at the ignition switch. Check connectivity power to start (TSRM page BE-15)
If the ignition switch is working correctly, check the neutral start switch (auto) or the clutch switch (manual). If those are okay, check the relay for...
Very cool projects. I have my own 3d printer, and have made a few bits and pieces. My build materials are limited, no titanium for me, but I've been able to make a few bits useful to me. I want to make an ashtray replacement part to hold some of the electronics displays in the car. I've also...
If it has the speed sensor on the tail housing. the speed sensor should be on the left hand side and has (IIRC) a 4 wire connector on it. It will be separate from the 2 wire reverse light switch.
The bellhousing ground shouldn't be vital, provided that the main block ground is in place and good. Basically, if the engine cranks, that means that the block is grounded, since there must be enough current capacity for the starter to operate.
I'd start with diagnosing the IG section of the...
So. There is another plug on the side of the block, fore of the oil pressure sensor. It appears to be a 1/4" BSPT plug. I'm kind of thinking that I may want to use that opening to put in an aftermarket oil pressure gauge at some point, but for now, I'll take the factory gauge as being adequate...
Well, I haven't found any references for where there are plugs in the oil galleys.
I've been told that there's one that I might be able to get to. I'll spend some time looking for that (Probably tomorrow. This weekend was crazy busy, and I had no time to do anything on the car.)
I found this...
12 PSI sounds like either a major boost creep issue (Need bigger/better exhaust) or else a shimmed wastegate to me. Check for washers in between the wastegate actuator and the turbo housing. If there are any, remove them.
If there are not, then what's boost at about 3000 RPM? Does it just keep...
Yeah, that was my guess as well. Means that I somehow missed it when doing the initial assembly on the block about 4 years ago. :(
Well, it's going to be annoying...
Okay, so I've just put a 7M-GTE that's been getting built up over the last 4 years or so bit by bit into my '90.
Am I 100% sure of anything that was done 4 years ago? Of course not.
Block was taken to a machine shop, and matched for tolerances to the forged pistons I bought for it...
Well, not today...

So, no oil pressure. Turns out that I managed to get the feed and return lines crossed going to the remote filter mount, so the anti-backflow valve in the filter kept me from getting any pressure. Fixed that, and now it's pissing...
I realised how long I was going to be waiting... And bought another Supra.
Of course, now BOTH are waiting for work/upgrades.
Y'know, if you're going to be replacing that new clutch, I might want to take that off your hands for the '89, since I stole the '89's clutch for the '90.
