So, I Just started having a wired issue this morning that I'm really hoping one of you guys can shine some light on.
I get in the car this morning to drive to work, but I find that I have now gauge lights or lights on my climate control unit. I drive to work and check all the fuses. All fuses...
Yeah this is what i was looking for. The previous post with the link does not spec this diameter.
Does anyone know what the tolerance on this is? I'm assuming that that 35.00 mm is nominal. I put a mic on it yesterday but I wasn't sure if i need to be within one or 2 thousands or if i need to go...
I'm needing the specs on the portion of the crankshaft that stick through the lower timing cover and the crank pulley slides onto. I) believe this is called the snout. What is this diameter. I have looked through the TSRM and have found nothing on this. Does anyone know off the top of their...
Hey guys. First of all about a year ago I was having an ignition switch problem, I did some research and found the following write up:

So I tried that and it worked...
Supramania,
I come before you today humble and ashamed, but I will not let my pride stop someone else from learning from my errors.
After of hours of inspection, and several sleepless nights pondering the possibility of rod knock I have found the answers I was seeking.
After listening around...
no smoke smooth idle.
Okay so I just unplugged and reseated all the wires at the coil pack....knock stops. So i drive home, get home and the knock is back but very faint.
Could a fault in the ignition system cause a knock?
Background: Engine making a ticking at about 1500 rpm, before and after it stops. And a knocking at idle.
Thoughts: either rod knock or valve noise.
I have checked the cylinders by pulling each plug and the knocking does not go away. It sounds like it is coming from the front of the exhaust...
Hey, I see you are in Louisville too! What color is your car, I might have seen you around.
Well, arp told me 95 ft/lbs so that is what I did. I know my motor is very well balanced, I did this build right. I'm hoping this solves the problem.
Sorry for the delay. Ok here is what I found when I got the tranny off, a LOOSE FLYWHEEL!!! How terrible, I'm so embarassed. I used arp bolts on the fly wheel, and even called arp when I was installing them to make sure that I torqued them to the correct specs. Here is what I was told original...
Hey guys I have a friend who is looking in to buying a sc300 with a 2jz-ge. He is really wanting to know what it would take to switch this car over to turbo.
I'm assuming the following:
Exhaust maifold
Intake manifold
Ic and Ic pipes
Wiring harness
New lines for the turbo
The turbo...
Hey, Thanks everybody. Problem found and in the process of fixing!!!! I have to run to work now, but later tonight I'll get on and explain exactly what was happening.
Thanks again.
I tried a few more times but I couldn't really get a better sound clip, I put it under the car but then all you could hear was the exhaust.
Are you talking about the pilot bearing that is in the end of the crankshaft? Is there a way to get that out with out pulling the flywheel?
At this point...
First off to answer a few questions:
Yes I used all of the washers for the hub.
Yes I installed a new throwout bearing.
Yes I greased the pivot fork.
This week is my spring break and I think the only way I'm really going to figure the out is to pull the tranny and take a look. So,......Any...
