    Backfire! Why?

Ill second that, supras naturally run rich, so they naturally backfire after a nice boost. No worries, you can't tell me you dont love a flame here and there, it spooks rice off. Oh, and if you arent running a bypass valve, and rather a BOV, then you're obviously running a lot more rich, and it...

Puff of Smoke if car sits for a while

From experience, every supra i have ever seen, owned, or heard of does this regardless of just about anything. It is likely valve seals, but it is common for all supras to have that issue. Not a huge deal.

is there a more intelligent question than 'is it turbo?"

Ultimately... THE WORST most UNINTELLIGENT question known to mankind... is "IS IT FAST"? - If anyone ever asks you such a mentally retarded question, tell them to go hump a tree. Honestly what do you think dumbo it's a supra, but even then, FAST is not intelligent by any means. Now, if you...

    mk3's and rain

I think mk3's do really well in the rain. I have worn out wet/dry tires, and never seem to have a problem, unless there are huge puddles, because my frame, bumper, and exhaust sit about two or three inches from the ground. So, if you are lowered, then life is a little more challenging in the...

    Thoughts on B&G springs?

I have been riding on B&G's for about nine months, and I am very impressed. My only complaints are that I wish the back was slightly higher. Other than that, the handling and responsiveness are both excellent for the price paid. Also, there is a fair stiffness, so it isn't the roughest ride...

Anyone with a roof mounted bike rack?

Bike Rack? Supra? What did the poor car ever do to you?

If your Supra was a transformer...

The supra is no decepticon. It is an autobot, and it would need no other name than SUPRA. The word supra translates in many forms, primarily medical to "above", and in another sense, "beyond". Is this not true? How many old cars can do what a supra can do? it is truly a legend. ya, they might...

Can I upgrade turbo without doing anything else?

DO what supraman said, and spend a few minutes to take your accordian hose off and check your shaft play, and spin the compressor wheel to see if it is the turbo or not. The ct-26 is honestly quite a decent turbo with an unrestrictive exhaust and intake, and in my opinion, should reach most...

Custom Catback Magnaflow need advise / suggestions.

3-2.5" dual tip? Turbo? I would recomend magnaflow's 3" straight through to a 4" single tip. Beautifully polished muffler, excellent performance, and not loud, just deep and rumbly. Stock downpipe is ok, I would recomend hollowing it out for massive performance gain on a budget... and don't...

    No heat issue

Thanks for the input. But after a little more inspection, my heater core is fine, but my vsv is toast. So ill probably bypass it until I can get a new one. Has anyone used the mercedes vsv?

    No heat issue

Today I washed my car, and did not realize until i finished that I had left my climate control on 78 with the engine off for a good 45 minutes (had the key in the on position to stop the beeping with the doors open and have music..) - not sure if this is the culprit, but I now have no heat. I...

    What's your favorite tire shine?

Meguiars any day! After a little while, it is nice to use a degreaser to get the new look again, then shine it with some Hot Shine. Girls always ask why my tires are wet... Stupid question, hot girls :icon_bigg

    Choosing Exhaust sizes

3" works wonders if you are upgrading from stock. The majority of 7m downpipes are 3", and matching that up with a nice 3" cat back (and 3" high flow cat if you need it) will give you superb results.

    Valve cover gasket

If it is just the occasional puff of smoke when you start it, and when you WOT it after driving gently, then it is pretty much just a supra thing. My 89t has over 150K on it, and of course it does this.. But I have a 91t with 60,000 original on it, babied all of its life, and it does the exact...

Can someone please identify this part- Flush/Fill connector

I had the same problem, the plastic on each side of the valve had deteriorated and cracked. I just replaced it with a straight connector, but be sure to clean the broken plastic pieces out of the hose..
