Version 3: 2JZ HX40 NA-T

Recently finished up the 2J in my car. It's still got a lot of small work ahead of it, like making brackets and cleaning up some of the wiring routing, but it's running and driving beautifully, tuned for 15 psi for now. Runs on JDM 7M-GTE ECU using HKS VPC and Apexi S-AFC (7M ignitor, IS300 coilpacks, 7M CPS).

Hey Marco, when does that HX40 spool? I have an 8 blade HX40W chilling waiting for me to figure out how I want to set it up on my 7m haha

Yep, I need a catch can, brackets for the radiator and power steering reservoir, a power steering cooler, and general tidying up of the messy stuff haha!

The HX40 starts to spool at around 3200, but takes till 3800-4000 to hit 15 psi =\ Honestly, I'm kind of disappointed and wish I'd gone with a smaller turbo. I'm looking into having a garrett p-trim exhaust housing machined to fit the HX40 wheel, which will give me a lot of smaller A/R choices. Normally it wouldn't be a problem, but while drifting the turbo takes too long to spool back up between throttle adjustments.

15 @ 4k? ouch :/

I was planning on getting a .96A/R divided T4 hotside from BEP along with a Sound Performance QSV and headwork. That should really cut back on spool time.

I get 10PSI at 3200RPM on my 67 with a QSV NOT opening correctly. It is just on wastegate pressure, no solenoid hooked up. Once that is hooked up 10PSI will be there below 3000RPM.

Get a 6765 for your 2JZ, you will be happy. It is one 2JZ friendly turbo.
