stock 1jz goes 13.3 with video

whats up guys. went out to the track today with some friends and finally got the run my supra that i have been working on for a while. This is the first time i have been to the track with this car.

the weather was right around 60 degrees i would say.

only mods are 3 inch turboback and just running open intake and 13psi. It is fully gutted though with sparco's and weighs right at 3080 w/ a full tank without me in it. let me know what you think. thanks! oh and for tires, they are just sumitomo 245's cheap street tires.

Good times for your car but..you might want to clarify a few things here.

1. You add the weight with YOU in it because you race it with you. (still a light car though.
2. It isn't "stock" because stock boost is 10.8psi, exhaust etc..

1.3220 with me in it. i weight 140.
2.it is very close to stock. i thought i did pretty well for my first time at the track in that car.

You're missing the point here, it isn't "stock", that's all I am saying, nothing to do with your driving.

then theres the vids and people though that have a car with a fat turbo, full bolt ons, nitrous etc. and they calll it a STOCK engine just because it doesnt have any internal work done. thats what pisses me off.

this car is pretty close to stock and better times than me running 18 psi on a 3450lb supra with a shitty 2.3 60 ft(13.5 at 107 mph)
if i had your 60 ft i coulda been in the 12s!

thanks man! yea you will definately be in the 12's at 107mph. I believe i launched at around 4500 or so that time and it didn't spin much, that really surprised me.

Do you have any boost leaks, the car seems to be down on power. Even at 13 psi, with only 3250lbs you should trap more then 102mph.

FWIW, my buddys car same mods but full weight (~ 3700 with him) went 101mph. That was at 12-13 psi.

hmm looks like i may be able to him that time if i had a proper clutch! my car is 4000lbs with me and half tank 7m 11psi with a trap of 105mph. you should be able to hit 12's easy!

yea its not that comfortable to daily drive but i do it anyways. Most of all the weight is in the seats.
