Hi all, great forum! decided to put mine up here.

1988 ma70 supra 3 owners 170,000kms factory 7mge non turbo manual

I'm 18 and this is my daily car I have really grown to love it! a lot different to what I have owned in the past, two vauxhall chevettes, one of which is my project car of three years.
Currently looking for LH and RH front mud guard / side skirt part and two wing mirrors, any suggestions for what and where to look for would be great full.

Some photos

Decided to do the suspension first, bought some second hand struts and pulled them apart. I have Bilstein shocks on order from Germany and NZ made 50mm lowering springs currently being made.

Great looking car man, its hard to find a Supra in that kind of shape.

From what I have seen that is too true, the very few I have seen in person I wasn't too impressed, surprised they have all been automatic as well

Ordered a hatch visor from KevinM hoping for that to arrive in the next few weeks, have tracked down two door mirrors and the front guards / mud guards and trim for behind the two front wheels will make a can of paint up for them as they are black. Still waiting for my shocks and springs to arrive but I have everything else ready for assembly.

My passenger window has a few scratches on it and I plan to tint the windows to protect my interior as it is pretty tidy so I will get that fixed also before tinting.

A mate and I will be making extractors and a new exhaust for the supra shortly after installing the above parts, pictures will follow.

Right, pretty useless update but I am really happy to get this done. Was the first oil and filter change done since I have owned the car and I have now done around 1500kms since I bought it. I heard back from our suspension guys and the wait for the fourth bilstein shock is another two months so I am finding odd bits and pieces to do each night while I wait. I will sort out my windows before getting the hatch sun shade and it should really start looking the part, can't wait.

Good to know the engine takes 5.3L of oil and I have the part number for the filter.

Oil is around $60-80 and the filters are $27 I'm not sure what sort of price these items are in the states but no doubt a lot cheaper.

Just like a puzzle my car is coming together! bought the missing pieces a few days back and they arrived today, very happy. I will get my local paint store to mix a rattle can of paint and get these done as soon as possible.

I can't wait to get a job so I can start fixing mine up as well but first thing I need to do is change the head gasket.

Yeah I was lucky, when I went to buy it the old man had the receipts for skimmed head, cam belt done, head gasket done and a few other bits and pieces done to the head in the past 5,000kms

Ok so I sanded down the outside plastic trim and sits by the B pillar and painted it up, picked up a spray can mixed for the car colour so I have my two front mud guards / side skirt parts as above masked up ready for paint will hopefully get them done tomorrow or sunday night. Here are some pictures. It's been a long wait for my shocks and springs but really looking forward to getting them in the car!

Both sides had bad sun damage so sanded them back

Two coats of plastic primer

Three coats of satin black, did this process for both sides.
