A T70 on a 1JZ is almost too big, unless you are talking a WOT only runner. I would not be surprised to see minor surge issues on a 2.5L motor with this turbo.

It is, however, a very powerful turbo on a 3.0L motor.

Will you be using this with the stock ECU or with a standalone? With a standalone, you should be able to give enough timing to spool that bad buy before 4500 rpm. I would rather see a 1jz running with a master power t61 or a t64 with a p-trim though.

I might be assuming here, but I think he is talking about this t70, not an ebay one.

And IIRC, all MP turbos use Garrett internals with their own housings.

I think MasterPower used to make the Turbos for Garret, Not sure on this though, But the MasterPower T70 is a good turbo, My friend has one in his EvoII & Made 700hp & has ran a 10.23@146 mph, I'll post pics of his car later when i find them.

hottscennessey, meth injection or race gas? What was your max power at 27 psi? NA-T 2jz right? 27psi before 4500rpm seems like a huge kick in the pants.

Meth injection with 5 gallons of 110 for safety (too bad I couldn't hit max boost because of a weak WG spring).

Yes this was on the 2JZGE NA-T ~8:1 CR. I'm bumping it up to ~9:1 when I put the new HG on.

Another thing to note.. I have a dyno printout w/ the boost on it. I just havn't scanned it in... but the boost line overlaps the tq line perfectly.. full boost was at max torque so this dyno should give you a VERY clear idea of this turbos behavior.

Mine has 69.5mm compressor minor in a .70 polished housing, hot side is P trim with a .63 undivided cast iron T4 flanged housing.

It is the T-70 being sold by Mike turbo on eBay. It was just over 600.00 shipped.

Qualty of workmanship is as good as any other turbo I've looked over.

I have not used it yet however, but expect it will spool up fine on my 3.24L and 9:1 CR. :)

I have a friend who is running a Master Power (real) T70 on his 1jz, with Emanage.

It pulls hard just past 3500-3700 all the way to redline.

Dyno is comming in around 500rwhp.

I'm assuming you're talking about Steve.

As for reference to a MP T70 on a 1JZ.......
It actually spools well for the size and when it hits, it hits HARD.
I was skeptical at first on how it would perform on a 2.5L when I knew on a 7M, it was amazing...

But after seeing Steve's T70'd 1JZ and then a guy in Kentucky has a 1JZ SC300 with a T70 and they are both making AMAZING streetable power.

Just my .02 cents. ;)

Im just wondering, isnt that a little low on the HP side for this size of turbo at that PSI? A GT4088 (62mm wheel) would produce the same power at that psi on race gas. This T70 should be a little larger than a GT4088 right? I was expecting to see 650-700 on race gas at 30psi

I just thought I'd respond to my previous post. I found one reason why my numbers are low..

that huge hole all from a rubbing IC pipe.

I'll re-dyno with the fixed pipe, cold weather, and ~8.7CR to give this turbo it's fair shot.

I beleive this master power t70 turbo isnt as big as everyone is thinking. I had the other t70( .70 comp housing-.84 turbine) and thats big. It was capably of 600+ hp and I had it on a 1.6. It was laggy. With the .68 the master power should spool up fairly quickly. I think it would be a great street turbo. and its twin scrolled too.....hella fast spool.
