Not sure how you measured it, but on our wiring setups most of the loss is in the ground lead that goes from bulb to the dimmer switch. If you just measure the loss from alt to the + terminal of the bulb, you will not capture the full loss. You also need to measure the loss from the bulb - to battery ground. Maybe you did that, in which case your numbers are very good.

Thanks for the added info. I have never checked the ground side. I will do more testing when I get some free time, although my lights have been excellent, by my standards. I should have known better.
