Getting out of the Supra game.

After nearly 8 years of Supra ownership, it's time for me to move on. I love my Supras, but I think it's time for something a bit more mature/newer/reliable. Don't get me wrong though, I still love Toyota, RWD, I6's and manual trannies, but I need 4 doors and luxury. So what's the only possible combination of those? The Lexus IS 300:biglaugh: Picked up this bone-stock beauty on Monday. It's a 2003 Millenium Silver Metallic IS 300, original 5-speed (W55), HIDs and optional LSD:icon_bigg

no plans for major mods, just LED tail lights, Altezza grille and probably paint the roof black.

The 92 has been sold (after a truck landed on her), the 89 is going to be sold soon, and so will the 86.5.

I'd like to thank everyone for everything they've done and all the help I have received (and hopefully given). I won't be gone, but I won't be an A70 owner anymore.:icon_mad:

Unless I can find another clean 92, that'll be 2JZ-GTE for sure..!!!

Some nice things can be done to the early IS and I've often thought about a sport wagon version for myself.

I wad planning on getting a wagon and converting it to 5 speed, but I don't want another project on my hands, at least not until I can get a back up vehicle.

I've often though about going that route but thinking about not having a fast car regularly depressed me so until I can afford both, I'm keeping the supra.

Good choice! I drive an 05 is300 as a daily driver and my supra as the weekend warrior! The is300 is a very reliable car, (knock on wood) but never had any issues with it. And still pretty sporty.

I love the lexus cars in general but I would have chosen the 1998-2000 gs400 personally for the VVT-i 1uz-fe. I love the 2jz as well so it should be a great car for you.

I thought about it, but I hate the looks of the 2nd Gen GS300/400. Plus you can't get a manual in a GS. I wanted something small, nimble, and manual so the IS was the natural choice. I love V8's, but I wanted another 2J after my swapped 92 was hit.

The only car I've sold so far is the 92, I still have the 89 and 86.5, but they are going soon, just have to do a bit of maintenance before I let them go.
