Just another example of common sense not being common...
looking at the "trench" they have along the roadway, it did its job preventing the car from exiting the track.. but who is stupid enough to stand on a track?? Really.. people have to take a bit of responsibility for themselves. Its things like this that get "big brother" permission to start slapping "stupid" laws. In general.. protect the people who dont know better (like kids) and let us adults decide what we think is good... the majority of us know why we need a seat belt.. "survival of the fittest" should take care of the rest...
I see this stuff and have to shake my head. It gives the law makers justification to control our lives by pointing at things like this and saying "see?? If we dont force you to... you'll end up like them". Sad to see so many hurt, but that one could have clearly been avoided by.. yep... common sense.
