So I figured Id throw and update up here. I had a few BIG boost leaks I cleared up, and now Im down to the code 71 which just means my non CA egr has no temp sensor for the ecu to monitor and I dont think its hurting anything. The lift is finally in our shop! :drink1: I Also finally got around to cleaning up my back brakes. And best of all NEW RUBBER. Finally I will be able to go WOT in 1st & 2nd with out floating the back end! On a sad note one of the substrates in my RT Cat came loose and started rattling around. Anyone have any idea what they use to glue it to the shell of the cat???

Frickin awesome man :)

Ghey,

Next meet is at your place. I'll bring a new torque converter so i can thoroughly test out that lift. As for the resonator, a simple fix would be straight pipe....? I like the new work environment should be much safer in a way with more space.

more pics!

Next time you're up here I needs me some maft pro help.

You do the maft pro and I'll do your stereo ;)

I finally got off my ass and installed my wideband, not that it does me any good except to loath the factory tune. I also decided to rewire my fogs while I was at it. Iv been pretty busy doing a ge to gte swap for a kid, I wish someone would just give me an 89+ supra, even with a blown ge.

Anyways other than being pig rich (10:1-10.5:1) at WOT its not too bad. normal drivin it sits between 14.5:1 and 15:1, cruizing dances around 15.5:1. My idle is the only thing that I really really dont like. On start up it will sit at 14-14.8:1 but after about 12 second will climb and then next thing you no its too lean to read meaning 18+:1??? Its like this all the time at idle and on decel? Any ideas? The only thing I can think of is a leak somewhere that is sucking air. I still need to wash her and throw up some pics of the new rubber.

So I discovered that even if I turn just the ignition to on, the guage will come on and sit between 14.7 and 14.8 for 10-12 sec. Then it will jump to 15 16 17 rapidly before going full lean with no reading. Could something be causing interference and giving this reading? It does this regardless of if the car is running or not, doesnt that indicate its something else?

heres a few shots of the car Iv been working on. Iv also been doing a hg job on my brothers car, which has been a very unpleasant experience

Cory's car did the exact same thing... it would go lean off the charts...

^^ Just to clarify, that's with the engine running ;) Just as Ryans is doing.

Yes I would expect it to go full lean when the engine is not running but at idle and on decel??? Thats what has me worried. Even durring shifts you will see it pin rich around ten for a split second and then full lean off the charts and then back to normal when the clutch is released.

I just realized I havent updated this in 8 months. I havent lost momentum or stopped progress, just slowed a bit and started slacking on the pictures. I have my motor completly tore down and waiting to be taken to the machinist this summer. I also picked up a maft pro with all the needed acc. from Cory (RS4rush) for a great price. Thanks again cory.

Rather than splice the maft pro into my harness I decided to build a jumper harness for it. I started with the board and harness pigtails from a cressi at the local yard.

p1296832_2.jpg
p1296832_3.jpg

I then desoldiered every pin connecting the female plug to the board

p1296832_4.jpg

Next I straightened all the pins and soldered and shrink wrapped every pin to the proper lead from the pigtails.

p1296832_6.jpg

Not to bad if you have alot of soldering and wiring experience but still time consuming. If I wasnt away at school durring the week and not able to do anything else on the car it probably would not have been worth my time and I would have bought one.

I then sliced in the maft pro harness and it was essentiall plug and play. Just have to run the harness in the engine bay and hook up the IAT and MAP sensors.

Is anyone successfully runing the timing control function? I tried it but the car would not start so I unhooked it since I wont be adjusting my timing curve until I have a solid tune and am ready to up the boost and get on a dyno.

So, which Centrailia now? :D Don't forget about the PacNW Supra meet which is in late July.

Duane

Look who's talking about making it to centrailia!:sarcasm:
She'll definitely be there again this year, and unless something major comes up PacNW too.

lol that hurt..

Actually, my car was in the paint shop last Centrailia, couldn't help that one. This time, I hope to be there but as I usually do, I have added some new mods and they sometimes take more time than expected.

Just try not to blow anything up until after I get to see it this time:icon_bigg

On another note the weather is finally nice enough, the gravel has finally been swept off the road. She's coming out for tuning this weekend!

Which way you heading over...do you want to convoy?

I'll be taking 90 all the way over, you guys going to come up at Ellensburg or taking 12 over? We should have a small convoy, me and my bothers cars along with Blake in his 7M swapped pickup and Luis in the classic 80's pathfinder! If you guys wanted to meet at Ellensburg that would be cool. If youv never cruized down I-5 with the 40 guys that meet up from the north end you should really go with us this year.
