well to keep this short and simple and not much reading. I missed the T56 that i had in my old Firehawk before my supra, and i really wanted it again. Found an guy in Australia that made a T56 to JZ adapter plate. So I've started to assemble the parts, mostly temporary stuff just for getting the swap done to later be replaced. Not that i dont like the current setup I have, Rebuilt R154 and an OS Giken triple plate. It just lacks the feel that my T56 had.

For the time being
Stock 1JZ Flywheel
Spec Stg 3+
45k mile T56
LT1 Steel 1-piece Driveshaft
Hurst Billet shifter
Energy suspension mount

Later on
T56 built to Viper Specs (damn near indestructible)
Custom McCloud Twin disk
LS1 Aluminum Driveshaft.

The other part of this project is to get my 1.5JZ up and running again.

Things left to do:

Finish running the new fuel lines
Wire in the 1ZZ-FE coils
Fab up brackets for the coils
Tune the AEM
Get it running and driving again.

heres some pics to start off with. my dad has my Nikon in Orlando so all i have are pics from my iPhone.

Ben, can you send me a pm with details on the adapter palte, or post them up here. Mainly just the guys contact info and how much it will cost to have him build another one. Thanks, and good luck with the project.

It looks like everyone is giving up on the stock coils and going with some other type. I may end up having to do the same. Subscribed for sure.

had to change up the clutch choice, i dont feel like fabbing anything up anymore. so im going to run a Centerforce Dual friction W58 clutch and stock W58 flywheel for the time being to utilize the push style diaphram on it. also using a Quartermasters push style hydraulic release.

also decided to upgrade my turbo, my T88 is now up for sale and im going with a Borg-Warner S475 biggedy ass turbo.

pics of that this week when i pick it up

lol Zach, hence the for the time being, im already talking with a company about a clutch for the car. they do T56 clutches, their multi-disk is cheap, and will take whatever i can throw at it.

In for progress. Especially interested in the T-56.

Why 1ZZ coils?

quite cheap, and from what ive read that Randy(BIC) has posted, quite effective due to the built in igniters

nothin all that new, getting the clutch today and thats about it.

shop with the borg-warner seemed kinda shady, so i didnt go with that, picked up a Precision 76gts instead off SF.

other than that, got the car in the air to pull the trans and start to finish up the fuel system. forgot how much i hate the smell of gear oil.
