Bad head/cams?

Alright. Finally got a lead on a good used turbo head in NC. My friend knows the guy, so he said it might be a freebee. I figure that I can resurface the head and crank, hone block, and rebuild my 7m with new oil pump, rods, and cometic mhg. How"s that sound to ya'll? I fgure that 300whp will due for now and piston squirters aren't necessary at the moment. Thanks guys for your input and keep it coming.
