I was looking at that turbo as well. I don't have a qsv yet. How was the spool up with the twin scroll setup?

Bc 272s with the springs and retainers, aem v2, Gm lq9 coils, Fic 1100cc injectors, Walbro 400lph, Aeromotive afpr, Devilsown meth injection, I'm most likely forgetting some things though lol

This thread will help you identify if this is the right turbo for you.

Also.... keep in mind, if you're considering just doing a twin scroll setup without the QSV, then I would consider BW's new S364 FMW. This is a turbo that flows like a S366 and spools up like a S363. New to 2014. Awesome turbo!

Thank you.

So many choices...I will look into that thread thank you. The s364 fmw looks very tempting I think that might be my choice..

What kind of manifold are you running? And thanks for the input.

I have a very old (7 or so years) china manifold. It is divided. With the .91 divided turbine housing, 272s, and a rich SAFC II tune I hit max boost around 4500 on my 1j. I would not want anything laggier than that. But I figure once I go AEM next year I will pick up some spool hopefully.

Where did you guys get your oil feed fitting from? I'm looking for one that will fit the s300 with a -4 AN. I don't need a kit just the fitting.

I got mine from boost lab

I guess I'll just bite the bullet and buy that kit. I was hoping to just buy the fitting since I have everything else. Did you get the 3 inch exhaust housing adapter from them too?

No non -vvti. I bought the an-4 fitting off driftmotion with oil line and went to a hardware store and bought a adapter to fit in the turbo so the fitting fits on that. Since the hole is bigger on the turbo

yup i ended up getting such a good deal on the turbo it ended up being cheaper to buy the .91 divded housing with the 3" v band welded on then getting the entire turbo and housing through boost lab....

Just a update for those who read this in the future. I installed the s362 fmw with the 550's and it spools up very quick. When cruising, as soon as I getting on the gas it starts building boost. Very happy with my choice of turbo.

EFR is great stuff. The main competitor to the Garrett GTX-series.
Very wide and nice flow-charts.

But, it's an expensive turbo.
I know team Need For Speed use EFR on their Scion TC in Formula D.
It's not a JZ engine, but it's got some really nice punch.

what RPM does your wastegate open up? stock cams?

Stock cams, and 4000 or so. I haven't really done any adjusting, since I still have yet to install my safc. I should have it in tomorrow.

it's probably going to be a EFR or GTX turbo for me, their internal wastegate seems to flutter a bit but the 1.05A/R with external gate seems to be smoother. they are not too much more expensive than the GTX30 and 35s and make it easy to install speed sensors for the turbine if that's your thing. I just haven't seen many used on supras mostly smaller motors.
