NO idea wtf we were talking about but some how someone snapped a pic
p1448061_2.jpg

Ahhh... Finally IN!
p1448061_3.jpg

Trans bolted, d/s bolted up, harness connected to trans and pulled through hole, connected everything to motor and body harness. Bolted down engine and starter obviously. Fought witht he turbo abit, clocked it a bit.

More updates will follow this week. I tried out a DP i got and it doesn't clear my 44mm wastegate :(. I may modify it butttt i dont know how to weld or know anyone who can come up to the car to do it. So i might purchase another one. I'll figure that out later tho. I have to finish up the wiring for the inectors, rewire my IAT sensor plug, cam plug when i get it, resistor box, SAFC II, hook up 12+v mod etc. So its coming along nicely.

Small update

mounted my IC and 95% of my piping. I have to finish up the turbo side of it. Add the BOV there or now. Once its completely mocked up and ready i am going to have it all tig welded together and have the BOV moved right next to the throttle body. I hooked up some misc vacuum hoses. Mounted the afpr to the firewall. Setup my hydro and p/s coolers w/ res's. Need to custom make a bracket for both res's still. Cut an aluminum strip or the dip stick (not pictured). Once the piping is welded it will be painted blk to match the IC. Here are some minor updates.

Well 5 months later! I think its time to revive my build thread.

First I got rid of my parts car, cleaned up my work area.
p1558713_1.jpg

Then had my baby towed there. Just a few pics of how it sits now. More pics and details of what has been done will be added this weekend and during the week.

had my IC welded up by my boy Robin, did it free as he's going to school for welding. This was his first attempt @ tig welding and his instructor who is certified inspector said it was a good job, the beads just need to look cleaner.

The mock up

Not bad. Much better welding than I could do. Looks good, I'm digging the door panels :)

Thanks on the panels, yea they are in decent shape, only down side is they are shadow gray so my door panels are darker then everything else LOL.

Yea he did an excellent job if i don't say so myself for his first time tig welding. I've got a few other tasks for him to tackle. Next on the list, down pipe, and modify test pipe. LOL put him to work! LOL

I can't weld for shit either, my hands as steady as a leaf in a tornado

---------- Post added at 01:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:15 AM ----------

Mess I had to fix and deal with. Car has not had a rug or glove box in 3 years. I removed the targa for the first time in 4 yrs (me ever owning the car). I cleaned up the mess behind the glove box where the body plugs go. I hid the ECU on the left side unde the rug on the passenger side. I routed my SAFC harness above glove box where that vent is (still need to modify). I routed my wideband controller through firewall and ran the lines thru the dash down the side of the trans tunnel and the wires come out were the coin holder will go. I also properly mounted my radio and "pocket". Hid the LED & button for wideband til i find a place i'd like to put it.

Me hot as all hell in the garage during a 8+ hr day working on her.
p1577913_19.jpg

I also adjusted the front suspension(raised 3/4 of an inch), installed the new engine splash shield, fender shields, finished off rear interior, front interior.

Next on list, install welded piping, modify exhaust, drain & fill diff, adjust rear suspension, flush brake & clutch fluid if i have time, check for any leaks (coolant oil etc), finish exhaust, let her run for a while and continue to check for leaks. Then i will install my KevinM smoked sun shade I've had for 3 yrs now (brand new no scratches! w00t), install a few surprises for the car (will take pics when parts are received), mount driver side molding to complete that, replace all bulbs for tail lights, adjust any panels if needed (bodY), thats all i have for now. LOL All little shit that can be done relatively quick

Not much of an update when it comes to pics.

Bolted up all IC piping, turbo drain gasket replaced, front bumper fully bolted securely, front fender splash shields bolted securely, inspection plates for trans bolted down, diff drained & filled, all vacuum lines replaced, BOV bolted, turnsignals and nose panel bolted securely, and i think thats about it.

How did it feel to drive your Supra again? When you giving it a good bath?

It felt "ok" i was slightly excited, I will be more thrilled once its complete and i can feel the turbo @ full boost lol.

I have a few slight issues, i tried to hit boost but at 2500/3000 it just sputters. Doesn't backfire or anything just sputters. I need a new v band clamp, wrap DP, figure out the little issues and get the alignment done.

A deep shower is needed and once i get the alignment done she will be heading over to the car wash for a deep cleaning by hand, by me :)
