Ive been trying to think of ways to get going a little faster in the 1/4. Ive been thinking about a 2nd gear launch. A little unsure about the whole idea though. Ive got 4:30 gears and some sticky Toyos. Im worried about wrecking my clutch, as I just replaced it, again. thoughts and ideas on this idea?

maybe I should just be talking to you. How in the world are you running 1 second faster than me, but only 1 mph faster? What are you doing for your 60 foot times?

Dave, that seems like a valid reason not to try a 2nd gear launch. I like my 1 peice

well thats the difference. My 6 foot times' are a disgrace at 2.3. I havent had much seat time with this set up. What kind/size tires are you running? and how are you launching?

Those 4.30s are probably hurting you pretty badly. Dump those for 3.73s or the 3.91s. Put some decent tires on your car too. A 2.3 60' is a joke man, that's what's killing you.
