I have a 1jz in the car now. Worlds longest build, and I am shooting for 500 on pump with my "baby" turbo. I have a 2jzgte bottom end in the garage waiting to get built for when I step up to a 66 or 72. It isn't that the 1jz won't hold it it is that I will want more Power under the curve.

So 9 pages of discussion, and not 1 person has offerred any advise on how to get there. The link provided showed a grand total of 1 car that has done 600 with a 1J with documentation. He blew that 600 number away with 602! It doesn't mention what fuel was running through his 1600cc. injectors, so pump can't be assumed.

He was running E85, so if you consider that pump fuel... /me shrugs. That car is being parted out. http://www.supramania.com/forums/sh...ercooler-Kit-T56-Magnum-Swap-MORE-PARTS-ADDED.

You would be better off looking at how the 2jz boys are doing higher horsepower on pump than asking here. With e85 being more accessable, most people aren't concerned with 93 numbers.

Here is some real advice, slap a 71 on a 1jz with a non china manifold, something like a doc race, with a built head containing some 272 cams and a large intake manifold. Then find the best tuner you can and let him set it up. You might need to run the motor out to 9k, but you will have your number.

If you want to add meth into the mix, you might be able to do it on a 66 or 67mm turbo.

You wouldn't get 600whp on 93 regardless of what has been done to the motor.. It would detonate before that level, at least from all I've seen. Meth might get you there, however I have no experience with it.

E85 isn't too great either. In FL, some folks have stopped using it because variances in the quality can mean the end of a motor if the tune doesn't have a decent amount of safety built in (problem is that margin can change daily). That being said, it can be done on this setup as well.

105 octane is something to consider, but I'm not sure how many other states have that at certain stations like we do.

That thing is amazing, like a unicorn, ya know all majestic and shit.
...and heard about a lot, but rarely ever seen?

I do agree though, sounds amazing. Really looking forward to seeing if you have any bottom end grunt to aid in driveability or not.

I have 272s and a 61mm with the .86 hot side in my 1j. it is a great driver with plenty of power for cruising around town.
