    ford 5.0l v8 swap

I was going to do this but went 1jz instead. I do have a t-5 world class with a hydraulic t-out bearing if you need it.

I can understand that. I had megans, but have silkroads, worth the extra 400 bucks. 1jz + good suspension =

Runs real strong. Rec 1j's. Get your car back yet? I couldn't get that tow guy, but can get it down here for you. I heard he is going out of business, so you better get it out soon before they lock the doors.

Listen to Tim, he knows what he is talking about. The car he is talking about, the horrible one, was mine on my old suspension setup. Get coilovers, spacers, welded diff. If not Tim's setup, then get decent coilovers, BC's preferably.

Wiring is done, getting power to ecu and out to the sensors, just have not fired it up yet. Going to wire the fuel pump on a seperate circuit for emergency shut off safety reasons. The 98 sc has a fuel pump ecu.

MAP ECU 2 Is it right for my setup goals???

Andrew....bought a map ecu unit for my white car. When I install it I would like for you to check it out. Very easy to tune, compared to maft pro, but I like both.

Grey smoke, oil from PCV lines

You are probably thinking 7m or 2j right now. I love both motors. I like the HP of the 2j but the torque of a 7m. I was at the same point 6 months ago. What i found out is that no matter which way you decide, in the long run you pay spend about the same money. We can even do a 1j swap...

Yeah, I am sorry Andrew, you should see the engine. Max and I really didn't want to call you with the bad news.

Yeah, I sorted out the wiring issues on paper. Pretty basic really. My shop is in DE so it will have to wait until the weekend. My 98 SC300 vvti is the same as the IS, but different wiring and ecu. The ecu is in the engine bay on the IS. I'll post pics.

It looks to be the same as a regular 2j swap, but is just OBD2. Mine is a little easier because I do not any other accessory stuff, because I use manual guages. It is a drift car, not for street. I am going to do this this week.

Anyone ever wire up one of these? Motor is out of a 98 sc300 w auto tranny ecu, running R154. OBD 1 to OBD 2. The sc has a fuel pump ecu.

    Setup help

My two cents, based on your forum name, you really have to make up your mind what you are going to do with the car. Tim (wiisass) really knows what he is talking about when it comes to these cars. Are you going to be drifting it? If you are, the setup that you really need would not make a...

    MKIII Drifting @ HIN

I know he has a TIP suspension. He had Tim (wiisass) make a custom KONI setup. He has a 1jz also, I think stock. Good to see one more MKIII out there.

    coilovers

I personally have ridden in Tim's TIP Supra(RIP). I have tried many things in my car as far as suspension and it was all wrong. I tried two different sets of springs and two sets of dampers. My car never even came close to what Tim's car felt like. I tried to match spring rates to what he...
