Anyone ever wire up one of these? Motor is out of a 98 sc300 w auto tranny ecu, running R154. OBD 1 to OBD 2. The sc has a fuel pump ecu.

I would like to know this also, I have two NA vvti 2JZs and I'd like to use them for a swap. Is there an issue with the security key or anything like that? I know vvti 1JZ's are no problem, but I have no experience with the newer USDM NA VVTi 2JZ wiring.

It looks to be the same as a regular 2j swap, but is just OBD2. Mine is a little easier because I do not any other accessory stuff, because I use manual guages. It is a drift car, not for street. I am going to do this this week.

The NA VVTi engines are pretty weak. They cant handle more then like 400hp. Just food for thought.
Mine is a gte block. My teammate runs an IS 300 with the same setup with over 500hp.

Talk to Kiely. He has a OBD2 VVTi 1J in the skyline.

EDIT: I guess that wouldnt really help you that much eh? lol He can definitely help you wire it though if he's up for it.

lol I'm the one who made the mounts he is using in his car and I helped him alot with his swap. I'm thinking of using an 02+ IS300 engine which is alot different. I'll be able to figure it out just haven't decided if I want to do it yet

...I'm pretty sure we used hockey pucks as mounts and installed them right outside MA. (That was right when he got the swap in and running though so maybe he got legit one's made...by you.) Maybe I'm mistaken?

Who is this?

Yeah, I sorted out the wiring issues on paper. Pretty basic really. My shop is in DE so it will have to wait until the weekend. My 98 SC300 vvti is the same as the IS, but different wiring and ecu. The ecu is in the engine bay on the IS. I'll post pics.

Wiring is done, getting power to ecu and out to the sensors, just have not fired it up yet. Going to wire the fuel pump on a seperate circuit for emergency shut off safety reasons. The 98 sc has a fuel pump ecu.
