    Hornaday Z-Max

Looking at the website, it appears as if they might be another kind of "filled" hollowpoint like the critical defense line. However, it's hard to actually see from the pics they have. I'm not sure what the specific advantage would be over the leverevolution and CD ammo. Mike, have you seen...

Seriously, that's awesome! One of the better ammo commercials I've seen lately.

    Oilsending unit. a wtf ?

If you're in a real bind for a block, I have my old one in my garage. Shipping would be killer to get to OK, but the reason I put a JDM motor in it was low compression in cylinder #3. Other than that, I'm confident you could put something together. You could get your dad to pay shipping...PM...

    cps oil leak

I myself didn't feel too comfortable with being able to disassemble/reassemble the CPS on my own, so I got a rebuilt one. Good CPS stuff is here... http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?38775-How-To-basic-timing-instructions-CPS-alignment It's a pretty simple job: 1) get to TDC on...

"Kinda" like the way it turned out? Seriously, man, you continually amaze me with what you put together. Once again, a very nice piece of work! I REALLY need to sell my car now so I can buy a rifle!!!

For a parallel flow condenser, look here: (#106) http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?94095-A-C-upgrades-(R134)-Operation-Chill/page3&highlight=chill+parallel+flow I called them a few weeks ago and they are still available for about $182. I'll also donate my penny and say the...

    Egr install

I had a similar problem. Here is what I did: 1. Remove the intake valve cover along with the intake piping over the top of the motor. I didn't remove the TB. 2. Used a magnetic pickup tool to hold the nut in place while I wiggled my other hand into position. 3. Sacrificed a 12 mm wrench by...

    Scruggs86.5T's Build

I actually kinda like the install of the aftermarket gauges. Did you give any thought to replacing the speedo and tach? I've often wondered if you could scrap all the factory gauges and install all aftermarket ones using the stock piece as a mounting template like you're doing. However, I...

Only 3.5 Volts on full open Throttle

Mine reads 3.61V if I recall correctly. I don't think you need to change that much in the Pro itself. The only reason you would need this number is for setting thresholds as a percentage for AFR tracking or using ETPS. As an example, I'm using the ETPS setup and set Vout2 to 3.61V to mimic...

    Lokar Oil Dipstick?

If it's a solid piece can you grind off some of it so that larger diameter part can fit past the block? Seems odd that it would be made so thick. Unless it serves some purpose. Looks like the threads would still be fine also. Part of it just needs to lose some material for fitment it seems.

Gotcha! I like those that have the flexibility like that. I've seen the EOTech that flips to the side when magnification is not needed, but didn't know what else was out there. So, if that's the one we talked about, when can I pick it up...? :):):)

Again, John, a really nice work of art. I have a question, though. Does it have enough accuracy at long range for scope with the shorter barrel? The reason I ask is because I'm used to the shorter barreled rifles being used to CQB or CQC (whichever you prefer) and having more "tactical"...

    EGR questions

Like others have said, it isn't a gasket moving causing noise. It's exhaust gas escaping and yes I have had personal experience and not just hearsay with this particular EGR gasket problem causing a "tick." I'm not saying it's 100% what he has, but it is something to investigate.

    EGR questions

^ +1 to what he said. When my EGR cooler gasket blew out, it made a ticking that corresponded to how much throttle and rpms were on the motor. New gasket...all good! Something to check.

The "duty to retreat" was the term I couldn't remember! Situations vary, but like I said before with a true intruder, the solution is easy enough. The problem with them drawing a weapon and threatening to kill you might mean they already have a bead on you. A lot tougher there. Can you get...

If there is an intruder in my home and he won't surrender it's easy. The intruder will surrender after the 1000 fps objects enter his cranial cavity. I won't apologize for my opinion. The intruder made a conscious decision to intrude. He or she isn't there for any good justifiable reason. I...
