Beautiful. I still have drjonez old recaro interior in a shipping crate in my basement. One day it'll make it into my car, which is currently gutted for the past 17yrs or so, waiting for real life to slow down a bit...

    Thank you

Dude, I knowww. It's wild! That's a PERFECT way to put it. He'll be one next month! I feel like it happened overnight! I can't wait to start teaching him cool shit. I'm so excited! That was a LONG time ago! Has to be 15+ years at this point. Haha, you have a fantastic memory. I don't have...

    Thank you

Hey Kurt! I still have that Ford Blue painted N/A block that I bought from you, AND I still have zip ties left from the 386,000 you gave me. Hey Tony! Sadly, the black car got scrapped. Too much rust in all the wrong places. I was young and naive. I still have parts of your red car, but...

:stretch: Hey, y'all. I feel like I just woke up from a dream. Haven't been super active because real life is wild, but man, it was nice to see that Jeff made this happen. Hope you've all been well. <3

Machine shop in NY for metal headgasket prep. Please help

Walt @ Head's Up Machine in High Falls does incredible work. He's a bit pricey, and there's a decent wait time, too.

    Turbo A Oil Pan?

Yep they exist, and it's magnesium, not steel. I think I spent about $1k on mine 6+ years ago. No, it's not for sale.

    Venting about my neighbors..

That sucks dude, my old place was like that. Neighbors would be in bed at 7:30pm, I'd be out in the shop cutting, welding, grinding, they'd call me and ask if I was nearly done. Never threatened to call the cops, but i was always uneasy about working outside past 7:30. We finally moved into...

Headlight Conversion For 1990 Toyota Supra

My '94 Toyota Pickup has 7x6 housings just like the Supra. I did a proper retrofit using projectors from an Infiniti FX35. They're bixenon, put out a buttload of light, and they can be made to fit the 7x6 housing pretty easily. Don't go over 5000k. I had 6500k years ago and it was junk. I've...

E39 BMW M5 as Supra Replacement?

Maintenance. Whore. But beautiful and luxurious for sure. Check out Bimmerforums.com for more of a low-down/dirty feel of what they require.

Wow this section is dead. Any other shooters here?

I don't have anything special: Ruger LCP with heavy duty recoil spring and stainless guide pin, Hogue grip. Smith&Wesson M&P Shield .40 I love the .40 No pics because I'm boring.

What do I do? Salvaged car in CA?? Insurance company never sent paperwork...

Old thread, but here's my understanding of this: If your car is wrecked and YOU buy it back from the insurance company, it won't go to salvage title. If your car is wrecked and insurance sells it at auction, they attach a form to the title (in NY it's designated a 907A car) and then you have...

    Oil Spring Relief valve

Ditch the factory oil filter housing anyway, get yourself at a minimum a filter relocation kit (which then allows much easier access and accepts larger filters!). Pressure based oil cooling is junk anyhow!

Code 52 doesn’t leave me alone

I doubt it's the ground, unless your car has grounding issues. jony89 had aftermarket sensors installed and they were the culprit. If you replace the sensors, find OEM ones, whether new or used. I have yet to see aftermarket sensors work properly in a 7M, and I have no idea why that is. No need...

2 duds with Federal Hydroshok .45

I daily carry a M&P Shield .40, my carry ammo is Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel JHP 180gr. I've loaded and unloaded it many times over the past six months, and when I go to fire it goes bang every time. That's straight up scary. Hell, just ONE dud is scary, especially if it's your first!

    Just picked up a new S&W M&P shield 9mm...

Fast forward a yearish later and I've got myself a .40 M&P Shield. I adore this gun. Recoil is quite manageable, I can keep a full mag within a 1ft radius at 50ft, and inside a paper plate at 21 while firing quickly. I haven't had my CCW permit for all that long, and don't get to shoot often...
