My 2JZGTE'd with W58 MK2 supra has a XTD clutch in it...bought the supra with it already installed..it held 11 psi on a bone stock Aristo motor..but It will be coming out here in the next month and its being replaced with a Raptor Racing feramic 6 puck thats sitting on the bench. Thanks for the...
Look at the bright side bro. when you 1st got this turbo it put you in the 11's. you power goals were no where near as high as they are now. That turbo did you good for the $ you have into it and never broke down on you. Now its time to sell it and get that PT6762 youve been looking at or even...
is your ground wire still grounded good or is any of the wires shorting out on something/each other? you could of knicked a wire somewhere..i know its basics but you never know...good luck.
I have a W58 behind my 7mgte. My car is an 85 MK2 with the stock 85 W58 tranny.
I used the W58 flywheel and a centerforce Dual friction clutch for a MK4 N/A supra that came with a W58. Mine is holding up great. I have 550's,vpc,afc,sp61gt,3" blah blah blah....some will say they wont hold up...
To install them i "double nutted" them. I finger tightened the stud in the head then put one nut on far enough down to put 2nd nut right up to it. then you just turn the 2nd nut you put on and it will tighten up the stud. HTH.
I used this for my 7mgte...its pricey but completly electrical and a easy install.

No worries...im jealous you have those goodies in your engine, I just have shot peened rods and ross pistons....Let us know how it goes in a 1000 miles...if its not right you should spin a bearing by then....and if its right you should be good to go!!
sorry, I may have described it wrong...not sure what word to use for it...its in the casting and its a bump, nub, thing on the rod towards the bottom near the the bearing...you will see it on one side and the otherside doesnt have it.
Its shown in the TSRM, also the stock piston has a notch...
The bearing notches on the rod per the diagram in my 1987 TRSM page EM-80 show them oppisite of each other. Also page EM-94 has a diagram of the connecting rod bearings with the notches opposite and the upper bearing has the groove.
I think theyre calling the notches the oil grooves, and that...
the groove/tang in the bearing on a stock rod is supposed to face the intake side of the block...thats what ive read on here...as for the 2 tangs/grooves in the bearing facing each other...cant remeber...gotta look at the tsrm if it even tells you that... i will get back if someone doesnt beat...
250 for assy? Holy cow..that seems expensive. Im putting in my own cams and shims...I havent done it but robert(supraguy31) does all his own with a feeler guage, few tools, tsrm and some time...im going to try that myself. Youre more than welcome to come by to my garage/house and use my bench and...
