Do you know of any aftermarket or other brand seats that might fit and look good on the cheap? i have maroon interior, but black wouldn't look bad i imagine.. i'm pretty handy with tools, so i'm sure i can do any swap myself, but if i can't get the piece, i'll have to do something about the seat...

I was unpacking my car today, and to my misfortune, a guy pulled up about 2 feet from my MKIII:3d_frown:, and I had to try to jam myself through the 1ft gap that those long ass doors leave in my combat boots and BDUs... needless to say it didn't go well, and i managed to bust out the power seat...

i'm to the point of not bothering anymore.. this time next year i'll be able to buy a new camaro with a full boston acoustics system..

i think i'll be alright with 6x8s and the head unit is fine, can't barely turn it up without the speakers going fuzzy. I'm probably going with boston acoustics though, need to figure out where the amp is and how the heck to wire new speakers in.

right.. this is turning into a bigger project than i wanted it to be.. looks like i'll be going with a pair of 6x8s or a 10in slim sub in the back, thinking i could drill through the metal right behind the seat, doesn't appear to be holding anything important, and i could build a box or...

i wouldn't have any problem taking the interior apart, i think it may have pioneer speakers or something, just looking at the speakers in the hatch, but i'm not sure if the guy that had the car before me bothered to try to get to the "subs" as toyota calls them lol. he didn't bother to change...

I'm gonna go ahead and start with my being retarded when it comes to speakers, not something that i'm really interested in, but i am getting sick of hearing "thock thock" from my "subs" rather than "boom boom." I figure a couple of 6 x 8s will do the trick for me, found some boston acoustics...

nice! my dad resprayed mine and i did a lot of the trim work.. still not great, has some white spots from clearcoat that you can only see up close, did some wet sanding and it didn't come out, so i went with what i had rather than respraying everything.

did you do it yourself or have a shop do it? looks good though.

no effect that i could see. i didn't spray straight on the rubber heavy (as i wasn't aiming at the tire), but some did get on. the only really bad thing was having a big chunk of stripped clearcoat come down onto my foot, as i was wearing sandals.. i sprayed it with the hose pretty quick but it...

the wheels look decent with them on, though i honestly like them better off. it's hard to notice the color difference though if you do put them on. Edit: to the credit of the caps, i've had them on for several weeks with the wheels shined, and nobody's noticed the color diff unless i mention...

doubt anybody's too interested in this, nothing nutzo, and nothing planned for a while, but here's some pics showing my supra last winter, and now this summer... new paint... which my dad sprayed and got looking good, i did a good bit of touch up on it clean rims..

i'd hope it's functional? Mine will stay N/A. Will probably eventually do the lexus v8 conversion, but that's a lot of time off.. have to finish the chevelle first.

yeah, i agree with the numbers.. the old mark IIIs are great tho, love their 80s supercar lines.. found a pic in better light.. you can see that i hadn't stripped the rims of their old clearcoat in it though. edit: and nothin like a beach shot to finish!
