AEM EMS V1 Crank Injector Time Table and Initial Crank Pulse Table.

I think I figured it out. I degreed my cams in (BC 264's) and turns out they both needed advanced 2 degrees to match the cam card and made it start a little easier. I advanced the exhaust cam 2 more degrees and retarded the intake 1 degree and it seems MUCH better. I have my crank injector time...

AEM EMS V1 Crank Injector Time Table and Initial Crank Pulse Table.

Did you end up getting startup tuned OK? I'm on a V2 box and trying to get startup tuned and it seems to get better if my crank injector time is 2-3x my warm idle pulsewidth. Anything less than this and I'm showing symptoms of lean start (long cranking/sputtering, spark plugs not fuel soaked...

Weak spark with AEM EMS V2 and COP setup

OK, so it turned out to be a timing issue and it was just WAY off. I just had to re-set the timing sync in the AEM with a timing light and it fired right up! The spark might not be weak after all, I'll just have to drive it and see. I didn't expect the timing to have changed with just a coil...

Weak spark with AEM EMS V2 and COP setup

I got a pretty good deal on these coils and they came with a mounting bracket which I never had for the IS300 coils. Plus, I'm running a pretty small plug gap on the IS300 coils which might be causing a rough idle on my 1000cc injectors. I wanted to try opening that gap up some with a stronger...

Weak spark with AEM EMS V2 and COP setup

I had IS300 coils running good in wasted spark mode on the AEM V2 and a DH61 igniter. I've just converted to Granatelli Xtreme COP coils powered by an EFI source coil igniter module wired to fire full sequential. Cranking the car over it sounds like it's only firing on one cylinder. All coils...

Help me get my build/gallery site going - www.clutchlink.com

Please do an tell me if anything isn't working. We're still working out the kinks so-to-speak. However, if I do say so myself, it's much easier to post updates on this site than it is on regular forum software so I hope it is an incentive to share more progress. I've been guilty of the same...

Ask and ye shall receive! You can now backdate posts and browse by make/model. I'll add year in there in the near future.

Help me get my build/gallery site going - www.clutchlink.com

Two great ideas, and in fact both of those are on my TODO list :). Seeing as I need to back date my own posts on the site lol. I'll have to include Year/Make/Model when they are adding the build to be able to search reliably by it, but it shouldn't be much trouble. Thanks for the feedback!

Help me get my build/gallery site going - www.clutchlink.com

I'm having trouble reproducing it. I've tried it on IE9, IE10, Firefox and Chrome. However, I've had a couple other people say the same thing. I just made some updates: Got rid of the warning when leaving/submitting the build Fixed the Only secure content is displayed. What's the risk? warning...

Help me get my build/gallery site going - www.clutchlink.com

I think it has some sporadic issues with Internet Explorer. Were you using Internet Explorer? And if so, what version? I'm going to try and have these issues fixed today or tomorrow. Edit: I also see some errors logged on the back end from when you tried to submit it. Let me get these fixed and...

Help me get my build/gallery site going - www.clutchlink.com

Approved by Supracentral Hey guys, I just launched a new site I've been working on the side. It's a convenient way to show off your car and host your "build thread" - completely free. The concept is very simple, but I feel it's a better approach than your typical forum for this type of stuff...

^^ Love the torn apart front end. I may use that for the 404 (not found). Is that your pic?

    Engine Pic Request

I'm putting together an automotive website, and am in need of a couple pics that stock photography sites just couldn't satisfy :p. I'm looking for a couple things: 1) A pic of some serious mechanical carnage (rod through the block, clutch exploded through the bellhousing, etc.) and 2) a pic of...

AEM V2 Stumbling in low RPM/medium load

I wired mine in permanently through the engine harness once I verified it helped the issue. I still have a very slight "vibration" (the best I can describe it) right at ~2200-2300 rpms but it doesn't buck and hiccup like before. I still need mine dyno tuned so it may just need tuned out. I would...

AEM V2 Stumbling in low RPM/medium load

Nope, didn't have to use the tach pin...it's running off the igniter. I only temporarily hooked it up to see if it actually solved the issue, but here is what I did: Make the adapter harness so the DH61 will plug into the engine harness. Plug the 6 pin connector from the igniter to the...

AEM V2 Stumbling in low RPM/medium load

OK, so I have some good news and a few updates. Called Aaron, talked to him for a little bit, and learned a little more how his kit is set up to handle the multiplexing correctly. I tried another stock igniter, and unfortunately had the same symptoms. I already had a DH61 igniter on hand so I...
