how old is your radiator? I have the same symptoms as yours and I had the original radiator. I replaced it with a cx racing radiator and that fixed the problem for me.

With the 4.30 you should be on the sweet spot of the rev range. Just use the stock swablades with the 205 tires in them if you are just spinning them with the 4.30 just upgrade to 225 tires also inflate the tires in the back alot about 45psi. good luck and keep posting some vids of your progress.

per IJ says you have to use the same engine brackets and mounts from your 87 motor to put on the 89 engine. I think all the engine crossmember are the same. You have to get another crossmember since you pretty much bent the one you have on the car now.

just follow the tsrm unless the cams you have are not stock. The dowell pin on the cam gear should be in the middle for both intake and exhaust. I think our motors are non interfering so you will not bend any valves if timing is wrong.
