    Custom VS. Rare Parts

I actually loved the TEMS system on my 1st supra. It handled amazing with the set up I had which was ST Sway bars, Eibach pro kit and Tokico Illuminas and a good alignment. I get the rare thing though because it will be more exclusive. Only thing I could add is to me true one off custom...

Any opinions and price ranges for a 3TGTE or 2TGEU engine?

From my understanding the 3T-GTE is a 3S-GTE with twin spark plugs. I wanted to do a early celica with one of those. The 3 would be a bad ass motor in that car. Nice project if you get it.

hardtop non-abs vs targa abs cant decide

Sound reasoning. I rarely ever take the top of mine since I really hate how the car twists and shakes with it off. In the future I may build myself a Brace to bolt in. If it were me in your shoes I would by the Hardtop. You might be able to swap in the ABS system from your car.

    Under dash re-bar removal

Mine looked like that as well when I removed my dash. As far as putting something in its place I wouldn't bother unless you are really doing something unusual. If your car is just sitting there I don't believe it will matter. I know it adds to the structure rigidity but its main job is to...

    Engine Block and head

Here are the pictures. I need to get rid of this by September otherwise it will go to the metal recycler's or scrap yard. Would rather it go to someone that can get some use out of it. It came out of a 89.

    Engine Block and head

Hey guys, I am needing to move soon and am getting rid of stuff that i don't really need. I have a engine that I need to get rid of. It came with my supra when I bought it as a shell. The guy said it had some type of running issue but didn't say anything about a knock or bhg. I was gonna...

A70 MKIII Tow Truck (well sort of lol)

I like it. When I got my supra home it had no engine in it. My driveway is on a shallow slope but enough to where I couldn't push the Supra by myself. I lined the car up and pushed it into my garage using my civic bumper to bumper.

    Remanufactured steering rack?

Also, a dead giveaway is if you look at the rack itself and it has a wire connector coming from the housing it has PPS. I believe non-PPS has a strut connected to it on the passenger side.

Anyone painted the original pearl white?

The place I went to stated that if they sold paint to the public and not auto body shops they would sell it pre-mixed. Apparently they don't trust non-pros to mix it themselves. As far as Laquer thinner you are perhaps right. I don't know for sure so I just went with the reducer from the same...

Anyone painted the original pearl white?

I would have to look again at the brand when I get home. It wasn't any of those you listed, it was whatever brand that the local paint supply store had. I know I would have bought PPG if I could find it locally. If you go to a paint shop they can ball park the amount for you. If I recall it...

Anyone painted the original pearl white?

I have done it on my car. Only bad part is that the paint place didn't mix my base coat correctly. It didn't have enough reducer(if any) and ended up being too white and it sprayed on very thick. The 3 stage is more difficult as you need to place enough pearl down to match the exterior of the...

    when civic owners meet supras

I am not sure what to do with myself now that I read this thread. I have both a 89 supra with a 1JZ and a 92 Civic HB with an Integra Type-R motor. Perhaps I need to go slap myself. But I like both cars for varying reasons.

    Greddy/Trust intercooler questions

I think the kit has been around for a long time. I don't know exact details but it should be on par with the HKS kit and others of its day. I think it will work fine for your uses and will be better than the cheapo ones ou get off Ebay. As long is there is no damage or leaks I think you...

    Back in the Supra Game

There will be turnaround in a lot of companies and sites. They can come and go. This forum has a lot of information and creative ideas. If you need parts I would start browsing the forum sponsor's websites. Driftmotion has a lot of parts and I have had good service with them. Also, look at...

2J cams in my 1J - after install impressions.

What was your reason for going with 2J cams vs the BC cams or others? Was it price related or cam related? In the future, I will eventually do some cams also so just wanted input. Also, besides the valve keeper and valve seal puller what are those other tools?
