^Thanks for the input.
Edit: i looked at the manual. (http://www.14point7.com/Support/Software_Documentation/UAFC_User_Manual.pdf) I cant seem to find anything about converting to speed density. It does have 2 spare sensor inputs 0-5v but not a IAT sensor input.
What system other than maft-pro can I use to convert to speed density? I am looking for options even if its an old archaic system. I am trying to remove the flapper style air meter from my wife's 94 4runner. I had a Maft-pro for my MK3 but went standalone and sold it, kinda regretting that now.
Update, u need shielding on the cam wire back to the MS3x card, it should come shielded but it doesn't. I used twisted shielded fire alarm wire and it fixed me right up.
I was working on this all last weekend and part of this afternoon, I am yet to get a stable signal thats not corrupted with noise. How are you guys getting a clean signal from the cps? here is my thread if you think you have any helpful ideas please shoot me your 2 cents...
I am nearing compleation on an install (MS3+3x) and i am curious about the tachometer gauge: is their any need to open the cluster and solder in a new resistor? or can i just connect it and be done with it?
I did my upgrade when i added the lex 550 mod. I used a Aeromotive over the Walbro due to about a forty dollar difference and 80 LPH in the Aeromotive's favor. I also did a wire upgrade at the same time. pretty easy and worth the trouble. As i recall i used a extra Toyota relay i had lying...
i just started installing the MS3+ms3x today, i have not been motivated since winter break began and now on the last day of break I decide to start the MS3 install. I mounted the bosch 2 wire and mocked up the harness, and now i see i could have stuck with the stock unit...... oh well 2 wires...
i asked this same question and i was told no, but anything is possible with enough time and money. But its easer to go stand alone and cheaper. The 2jzgte uses a hall sensor on the crankshaft (i could be wrong this is what i was told) so adapting that is kinda a pain.
Enraged your a GENIUS!!!! i think gutting the stocker and piping a ford on there is a perfect simple way around using the toyota 6 wire, a ford is the way to go thank you!
